Cricket 22 General Discussion thread (Use bug report thread for issues/bugs/crashes | Patch notes in first post)

Dnt know if this has been said before. I'm a bit late to the party.
During practice sessions - nets & outdoors - if AI Bowling is set to "human", then no matter what length you chose , they will always bowl random lengths.

I want to practice batting against the SHORTER ball the spinners bowl - especially the morons during online matches - but there is no way to replicate that in nets. No matter what length I chose the AI bowls random lengths.

OTOH, If i chose the BOWLING MACHINE instead of human it does produce the needed length the but the bowl doesnt bounce much even on shorter length. So. can someone help me out on how to practice against such SHORT FAST deliveries bowled by the spinners?

This is beautiful mate. Almost as good as the real thing.
I have a question, are spinners still OP and take most of the wickets?
Also can you please guide me about reskilling. Previously I had reskilled by reducing Judgement and power to 4 I guess. And rest of skills were lowered by 2 or 3 points.
Also in V3 sliders we just need to change the run rate to 45. The wicket chance, striker timing, and the physic remain the same right?

It’s not an exact science as I’m sure @Rumple43 will say. I’m seeing what I saw with re skilled now on default. But if you want to re skill judgement seems to add some in predictability and you can make a batsmen weaker with a certain shot etc. anything under 10 will do.

Hi guys. Apologies, but I'm a bit confused now.
I had the game running pretty well for tests and ODIs with made-up, reduced power teams from scratch. I was also using Rumple's sliders, slightly tweaked.
With the new patch do I need to adjust more than run rate? Any advice gratefully received.
There were a set of AI sliders I used and then made incremental changes, striker timing I think I reduced to 45, wicket chance I made higher at 60 and run rate was put down to 35

Big Ant have said they'll rectify this, just need to be patient.

In Competition Designer, you can definitely create a ten team league (2 round robin) with semi-finals etc.

I’m not sure how IPL works (Eliminators etc) but like I say, you can certainly create something like the above.

Sorry if I’m just confirming what you already know!

I’ve finally risked Competition Mode and it’s doing that old school double stats thing!

The player stats record correctly in Player Manager and in the Competition stats screens but when they walk out to bat every match, every previous performance within that competition is being counted twice. Eg: you give somebody their first game, they take one wicket but the stats next game when they come onto bowl will say two wickets!

I’m just going to finish my T10 comp, check everything and submit a ticket. It doesn’t mess anything up long term (And I don’t want them to when trying to fix it!) but is just annoying during that particular competition (On PS4).

Thanks for that. Is that the same for tests and ODIs? Does the game self-adjust depending on the form? Appreciate your help.

There is no competition design mode in cricket 22 , we have only have Competition mode in cricket 22.

Competition Designer is there but it’s in the middle bit. Scroll across from Competition Mode and Tour Mode. Competition and Tour Designer are there. I’m currently playing a Competition that I designed. It’s not in the Create bits like stadiums etc.

@MattW i am playing world test championship and all the matches are being played at great barrier reef. And i can't change them.
I started this tournament before the update which brought great barrier reef stadium. Before that update stadiums were absolutely fine.
But now all matches are set to be played at great barrier reef and there is no way to change it. Currently i am on buil 2059(latest)

Ok lads.. something for the short game enthusiasts!

Had a spare hour or so did a T20 this time on PS5 so exactly the same build as everyone else. (Which is sure is also the case with steam anyway)

Australia v England
All Default…
Only changes were I lowered the power to the England players down to 5/6 APART from Morgan.

First positive.. is the AI didn’t chase me down.
Secondly Morgan was the standout.
Power Skill can really alter how you want the game to play out.
It’s probably a little low at 5/6 as Bairstow couldn’t get it over the ropes.
But it did produce some lovely catches.
And it proves with Morgan that in its current levels it’s probably too much hence why they chase anything as they can dispatch anything.

ALSO if you want less edges in T20 and ODI wack up pitch friction and ball friction to around 70 and 50…

@Rumple43

Finally the improvements to the fielding make such a bloody difference!

This looks like a lot of fun, and great to see Morgan doing what he should with the added power.

I've still not ventured into white ball cricket, but this looks promising for those that have.

Beautiful gameplay. Couple of questions for you. What camera angle are you using please and regarding the re skilling of teams would you advise it ? Does it make a huge difference ? Thanks for your help been using your sliders for different countries and still lots to get my head around as pretty new to the BA cricket game I enjoyed the game from day 1 but the difference in gameplay etc now is night and day it’s like a whole new game.
My bowling camera is broadcast 2.
