To think you can create everything in a ground as well except custom Stumps...

Huge gripe has always been that squad numbers are player linked not team linked.

Some of you may have already been interacting with me on the support site with some of your issues and suggestions and I would love for you guys to keep doing that.
But as I have been, for the last month, I'll be on here as well reading it all and documenting any good suggestions I see and issues you are having.
Issues which are game breaking

1.Ai Batting against spin needs serious improvement.

2.Batpads against spin need to be toned down

3.Pitches Needs to wear down as match progresses and become difficult to bat or take more turn

4.Bowler stamina needs to work.Currently it's broken

5.wicketkeeper Dive logic needs to be fixed currently wk diving every time makes first slip redundant.

6.Ai Field placement needs to be looked in to , currently they change midon to midwicket every over in test.

7.Ai batsman should find it difficult on green tracks.Currently pitches don't have any effect on ai.

But as I have been, for the last month, I'll be on here as well reading it all and documenting any good suggestions I see and issues you are having.
  • Sporadically Batsman replaying that initial trigger load-up animation just as ball is approaching on styles 2,5,6 which has been there for more than a month now, still somehow hasn't been patched out
  • DRS sometimes isn't shown post-dismissals to interact, really frustrating when its clearly the wrong decision by ump
  • Not sure whether its supposed to be intentional or not, but pitch marker seems to readjust itself on some deliveries, if its intentional I assume its either making up for swing/lateral movement or the AI using after touch either way I'm liking the last fraction second change up

  • Variety of balls(slowers/cutters etc) bowled in the 'death overs' period of limited overs is still sparse, when they do bowl we end up getting, bamboozled so would like more of them.
  • AI bowling strategies like bowling to the field a.k.a setting up a field and bowling accordingly still feels lackluster and predictable(yes the f-word) i.e. If field is set on all leg side then AI bowls in off side lines and field is all off side he'll drift down the pads which we can easily milk runs to the point I'm ready with my left stick and waiting to time the ball.

  • While edges off pull/hook shots should happen, it happens far too often to convince oneself right now
  • Far too many leading edges when playing leg-side shots especially between the mid-on & mid-wicket region (In-game it says ok footwork in feedback but I've tried all possible footwork placements still happens, yes classic controls)

  • WK animations (when user bowls) still is irregular at times, sometimes he manages super human like ones and then he leaves the simplest of lob up catches.
  • Batting shot angle animations on areas like mid-off is not as it should be, so when you do edge playing those shots, you can visually see the ball is going through-the-bat rather than a proper outside/inside edge in replay.

  • Proficiencies bug for specialist bowlers & WK, which I've repeatedly raised tickets/posts over months now and even posted a video displaying still exists.
  • Ability to change the 'mentality' for licensed players is still locked, a fundamental pivot through which all others like reskilling,slider values come into play.

  • Player sweaters seems to be some issue popping up like a tail with batsman who have styles 2,5,6.
  • Kits & player model glitches like skin & flood lights shown through kits etc., are there for everyone to see.

Lastly, a game dev can only improve when there is communication/feedback from end users,if we settle down saying its already a decent game then we may never let it reach the levels we all know it is capable of.

I can see even the builds activity that used to update daily for the game in steamDB has been getting stale for some time now.

This will be my last post unless any significant change is made in the game and I'm gonna take the piece of advice that few have concernedly given away to all of us who have bought the game with their money, I'm gonna 'let go' and 'get a life' :yes

Well I posted this on April 1 and except the drs and marker hiccup, almost all of them still hold true now.

There was a period when the BA team were constantly working on the AI like their behavior and tendencies as far as I noticed there was progress, but once the team moved onto newer working games, its still in that half-baked state.

Nowadays, I play here and there, batting I'm able to challenge myself with all the tinkering values even though AI's bowling line & lengths suck (especially to lefties and spinners bowling behind leg stump )

The major issue for me is bowling and fielding which I have just given up now, there is no real organic or heck even a method to madness by AI. Since bowling directly involves AI, it gets so boring when they decide to stick a partnership for 40 overs straight and then go on a wicket blessing spree within span of 5 overs.

After everything seemed stale, I even took the suicidal jump by going to Twitter, thinking I just have to save my AI pleading for next iteration and asking for Online Slider values to Ross which as expected found no answers.. It was introduced after much request back in C19, but shortly rolled back saying some players misused and never got implemented properly which I really thought and hoped, I even went on to suggest some possible ideas with my simple brain to properly implement it. (If interested quote me and I shall copy pasta it here)

Atleast if not for anything, please resume on that process of improving AI and allow us to edit 'mentalities' for licensed players...
 
Any chance that career mode getting a lift up? especially regarding more stats visibility and AI player development?
Also need fix on Same player playing both international and domestic matches on same days and playing domestic games in between international tournament... Need better management of match calendar... Player injury management...
 
Pace bowlers bowing speed being lower in club cricket by 15ks on average will be nice touch to realism , for FC it could be 5ks lower on average compare to International cricket.

For Fast bowlers club speed (120-130k) , FC speed (130-145k) for International (140-155k)
For Fast Medium bowlers club speed (110-125k) FC Speed (125-135k) For international (135-145k)
For Medium pacers club speed (100-110k) FC speed (105-115k) for International (110-120k)

And you and your team mates increasing speed as they play more club cricket and then subsequent FC cricket then move in to International cricket.
 
BTW I do have a feeling that World T20 DLC is on the cards , hence BAS trying to get some feedback from community in order to have a better image before selling the DLC and I do hope that they include MyTeam ultimate sort of mode as well as team management career mode in that DLC as well.

After the Hundred DLC shambles last year they’d be pretty stupid to do that again.
 
Nothing works. I selected Pakistan and summers it starts at 10 degrees. I gave up and used in built stad with big ant logo in the field which was the main reason I went for custom stads. Its all messed up. Not settings for temp weather. The batting sucks in this game. Cut on off side is so akward ugly shot. Sometimes the shots dont respond. This game has gone backwards. Feels like a downfraded version of C19. The only thing I liked so far is bowling actions. That’s it. Feel sad as a cricket fan and who loves cricket game that we still don’t have a proper game. Big ants were such a big hope. I thought they will do so many improvements as C22 being there 4th game. But all hopes have vanished now. They need to rewrite the code from the scratch and change the whole gameplay. But seems like the resources and capabilities aren’t there and it happens with small medium scale companies. I hope they can prove me and others wrong
So many people were pushing for Cricket 22 even though C19 was released in 2019. I think we should give BA 4 years to release newer cricket games so they can bring improvements in the game. Game is smooth but I don't the like game play and the overall look of the game. Probably Big Ant Studios did not made this game in studio but in a small rented room. Hence it's new name should be Small Rent Room.
 
I thought it sold well?? Any ways I am definitely going to buy if there is any DLC in future with respect to team career mode
I hope in DLC they introduce soccer in the main stadium and cricket in the side stadium just for environment sound only.
 
Yeah, but 4 months later out came CM22 which has been a big disappointment. There was no noise of a new game and they took £10 for the DLC and then new game very quickly. Annoyed quite a few
