Cricket 22 General Discussion thread (Use bug report thread for issues/bugs/crashes | Patch notes in first post)

Does not really have anything to do with Cricket 22 does it? Surely you agree no gameplay before a games release is not a good sign? You cant go 30 seconds of gameplay without a bug or something looking completely off.
The point is you can show off hours of game play, build hype and still release a game that was so broken Sony wouldn't sell it (and I believe still has a disclaimer that you should not buy it). So what difference does showing gameplay really make? If that's critical to deciding on whether or not someone purchases a game then wait until its released before buying.

Im confused whether to pick my pre-order from the store or not :(.

I would say it is critical that people would see this game is worse than Cricket 19 so far and instead wait for this game to get fixed or go on sale before buying. Obviously people would like a complete game on release, is that not fair to assume? Its not on the consumer to not buy something, its on Big Ant to not release a buggy unfinished mess.

Anyone on ps5 able to play a forward defensive on the off side?

as you can see here I can play attacking shots to the off side but not defensive.

tried with 2 controllers.

they made a cricket game without a forward defensive. Let that sink in.

Same is true on PC.

Such a glaring error. It makes the game unplayable.

Anyone doing any team creations? I'd be happy to help with making lists or something if anyone is committed to making some teams? There seemed to be pretty good coordination in the last few games

Looks like many core players are now complaining against BA, they must be as so many good features are no more in c22. My suggestion would be its just a game and we better know BA always fix things via patching like in past.

Highlight the bugs or missing features to them via bugs forum or support bigant and i am fully hopeful they will for sure listen and fix.

Please keep this in mind as this game developed during pandemic situation

Had a tiny play around on my lunch break. Shame they removed tour mode, used to enjoy custom tours with my own created sides.

I hate how the licensed players you can't edit the bats, nothing worse than seeing real players like majority of the England squad using those horrible fake branded bats, wish you could assign a grey nic or GM etc to them make it look better.

Until there are some decent community creations the game is pretty much bare bones, no eagerness to play any international cup / fixture outside of the Ashes without decent teams which to be fair when I first got cricket 19 I only did the ashes or a tour using my custom sides until the teams from around the world starting flowing in.

The problem I have when watching game-play footage (bowling specifically) is I can't even see any attempt to improve it, like implementing new things that have gone a bit wrong. It just looks like they took the C19 game-play and somehow buggered it up.

So disappointing.

And just like every other BA game this also has really good potential but need hugeeee patching in almost everything..The nets animations and connection all those were just almost just flawless and smooth..Now it's stuttery and there's glitchy shots where the animation goes whichever the way it likes.. Again it can all be patched up but honestly speaking all these patching cannot be termed "Post release support though" ..If the game was to the level of C19 which I feel was the most stable release for BA ever , if this game had that and got improved as we go then it would gained the wings to become best simulation ever.. But as of now it's a child who needs all the training and support in the world to make it worthy enough..

I did love the bowling and batting feel in the test I played but fielding was the concern before release and it remains so after release too.. I really hope they have a huge list of things they want to make it right with patches.. So many issues while bowling and the batting connect for AI and human as well but I could see the potential..

Just watched 3 of the most popular streamers playing Cricket 22 and could see and hear the disappointment about the game. BA should have just given Cricket 19 another patch or two. Cricket 22 worse than Big Bash Boom

Like everyone saying here, me too felt same, game have potential, but need lot of bug fix...

I am not disappointed with my purchase, because I know BA commitment towards there game... But these bugs and errors just killing my excitement about the game, which I don't liking at the moment...

Seems like quite a few people are disappointment at the moment, can empathise. Personally, a few bugs aside, I've been having fun. Playing on hard has been a real challenge.
