Cricket 24 - General Discussion

If we’re going by experience at that point and not in retrospect then DBC 14 is easily at the top for me just because of how innovative it was. No ball marker, no fielding radar, a completely new control scheme for batting and bowling, extremely well detailed creator options and a lovely bit of community interaction at that time.

Tough to decide between Cricket 19 and Ashes Cricket… I’ll go with C19 even if it wasn’t as big of a leap forward because it didn’t release in the wake of an abandoned game like Ashes was. I also thought the way they integrated the WC into the game despite having no official license for it was neat and the game had maybe the most polish in the series since it took a lot from the previous game alongside having plenty of user content due to sharing a library with Ashes. Then it’ll be Ashes next.

C22 is the only one that I regret buying in their entire series. Think it’s the only one where I’ve spent more time in menus staring at skills, sliders and trying to tweak the game to make it feel better instead of just playing.
So DBC 14 > C19 > DBC 17 > Ashes >>>>> C22

Don’t think they know or care about the state of it.

Yet again this trailer looks very decent in all fairness. But it also lacks any mention of the Pakistani licenses. The way they’ve handled it is pretty shoddy.
It’s aimed at t20 lovers with the pyrotechnics and smashes every ball they will soon suss the games glitchy and poor

It had gilchrist commentating so I assume this would have day 1 patch already downloaded, isn’t it?
I mean it just doesn't look right ....

So DBC 14 > C19 > DBC 17 > Ashes >>>>> C22
I’d probably go

DBc 14 > C19 > Ashes >> C22

I didn’t buy DBC 17 so have no idea about how poor it was. I assume it would fill the place of C22 in your tier list.

I'm enjoying playing DBC 14 today on my Xbox X after many years ....it
feels so good....even better than C22 :P

Honestly, if it didn't say Cricket 24 every time to hit a boundary - I would not believe this is a new game. There just doesn't seem to be enough to warrant me buying it at this moment (especially for £50).

I'll see if anyone else buys it tomorrow and see an improvement in the gameplay otherwise might have to be a miss for me.

Spiderman 2 is coming out in like 10 days and might just move on to that for the time being.

How do you feel it has ages compared to the other games? My biggest worry if I were to go back to it is the game feeling dated.

If it’s between Spiderman 2 and this then there’s no contest, Insomniac seem to have made one of the best games ever with the former.

Entered PC forum almost every day since the game announcement only to be this disappointed. Probably we all had unrealistic expectations for this game. Everything that they shared in the announcement press release, are missing. I guess game owners do have the right to sue BA, for lying and making fake promises to the consumers.
