Cricket 24 - General Discussion

In Online play especially Co-op (on PC), after one saves a game mid way to be continued for later, there is a very long waiting period (either a frozen picture or a black screen), till we get back to the main menu. This is a recent phenomenon. Has anyone come across this or is there anything that can be done to address this?

It's funny. I played DBC 14 before I joined, certainly before I was active often on here, and I loved it. Never really crossed my mind how wickets were taken I just had some really engaging test matches.
I found genuinely that I struggled to complete matches, because I found bowling to the AI so unrewarding.

I’d be keeping slips in just for show to fool myself it was “realistic”…

Don’t get me wrong, it was a very good game and some things that were there in terms of customisation, retro options, the pitch wear and weather graphics were never as good again. But this was - for me - a really glaring omission I struggled to look past.

Yeah, I'm not denying there weren't flaws - I'm pretty sure limited overs was unplayable due to AI field settings. Although it's been a long time since I've played it

My Major Gripes with Cricket 24 are

1.Stamina and confidence system is broken

2.Weather System Broken

3.Replay system are broken i mean who shows cover drive from legside camera.

4.Spin is still overpowered

5.Batsman dont play and miss as much which breaks immersion ,It used to happen much more in cricket 19.

If they fix these i will buy the next game.
Then dont buy the next game....

Francos tweak helps there. Tie Break is BA’s best effort for a long time.
If they take the same approach with the next cricket game there is perhaps grounds for hope in a decent all round package.

If we want substantial gameplay improvements then it neither needs to be a new engine or a start from scratch.

I enjoy cricket 24 but I think it’s at its maximum in terms of what it can do and the range it can be tweaked.

So would be interested to see the approach.

I guess they could do it from scratch, release it for the ashes in a half playable state as early access then perfect it over 2025.

Or it will be 24 with updates and released as complete for the Ashes.

Absolute guesses from me.

Only concern is the state rugby's in with around 2/3 months to apparent launch
