Cricket 24 - General Discussion

Perhaps we should be focusing on getting the essence of the gameplay right first, before we start requesting different types of pads?

The weather, state of the ball, type of pitch all affecting things in the game like they do in real life, scripted nature of dismissals, strange AI behaviour etc etc. It's a long list.

You are right, we should. Without the gameplay cosmetic items of no use.

I do not put gameplay requests because I know there are many users who are giving that feedback to BA.

Am looking at more of accessories (also not many users asks for), which will make gameplay more engaging. I do not want to see Kane Williamson without arm guard.

Also I have been requesting about batting pads since 2019 and we got them in current title. So am just putting my effort to get accessories.

We are pretty not sure about whether patch would release or not further. Then asking these kind of requests are laughable

I guess the next patch will be at the start of IPL as they will be introducing Pro team and after that am not sure.

Isn't it that every 2 years, they drop a new game?

My theory is they will aim to launch Cricket 26 for the Ashes 26 (Nov 25), release a glitchy game, and finally do some patches and create a half-decent product once the Ashes are officially over Feb-26 ish.

Annoying, DB14 was so exceptional with great player models and very good physics - yet they threw all that away to create a far more mediocre product. If they had basically created a FIFA-esque approach of improving the gameplay and physics and kept the models all the same - I'd have happily paid for it every year.

The FIFA games don't get improved though. It's the same thing every year with just added mechanics that are either bugged or gamebreaking. Isn't that pretty much what BigAnt are doing with their cricket games?

I'll just keep banging the same drum of wanting the DBC 14 animations purged from existence and memory (you know the ones) along with a real time physics engine which stops the ball passing through bats, stumps, players and solid walls, while shots actually go where they're supposed to off the bat.

If they did those, I wouldn't care if it looked like stick cricket

But what will BA do with all those licences they spent a whopping budget to acquire??

That nobody asked for whilst an incredibly dedicated modding community took their games to a different level anyway.
