Don't you think you could have been a little more respectful and let the creators of the game reveal all this information when and how they wanted to?

Do you think Big Ant "accidentally" left all these bits & pieces hanging around in the beta? That too even after the patch? Big Ant wants folks to unearth these "features" on a regular basis and create hype about the game. This is what Cricket Academy beta has been all about - creating buzz and generate publicity about the game. What OP has done in the thread is exactly what Big Ant wanted and expected IMO.

People are talking about their game, I'm sure Ross is happy enough with that!

We didn't leave it in on purpose but I am not too worried about it.

Essentially CA is a cut-down version of the full game and we just haven't taken the time to strip out all of the stuff out that is in the full game.

You are free to play hide and seek game if you want with the developers. If that was the case, Ross would have already mentioned that in this thread.

PS: Talking about respectful, if that's the only sensible comment you can make for the people for use their time to extract all the info from various files, translate the programming language and then write down them ALL to reveal it for YOU then you better don't post in this thread. Revealing the gameplay info won't do any harm to Ross, I suppose. It may expose some of the surprise but it sure will gain some of attention of the people who were thinking to buy this game. I am happy to keep all the info to myself too but thought I should share some of the excellent features in Cricket games that we hardcore fans were dying for.

I agree. But what is that thing you are speculating about? Keep us in the loop too.

----------

As much as I hate explaining jokes, as I mentioned, I was making a reference to a number of open source software programs that consider 0.99 to be zero-point-ninety-nine and 0.100 as zero-point-one-hundred as the next version number if they aren't ready for version 1.

MAME for example is at version 0.148 now, after going from 0.99 to 0.100 in 2005.

Obviously I understood Matt, but couldn't resist from commenting. :p

...let the creators of the game reveal all this information when and how they wanted to?

I think the very nature of browsing this forum mean one could expect to be "spoiled" on what is/isn't in the game. If you're not wanting to know about revealed (or speculated) game features, that little red X in the top right hand corner of your screen should suffice...

There's no link between what is being uncovered in a demo/beta player-creator and the final game. There are simply mentions of features that could be in the game, but we won't know until we're told officially. How do we know the stuff that's being found isn't all red-herrings to throw us off?

In short: No puppies are being harmed by this information.

Assuming too much can make you sad...

How do we know the stuff that's being found isn't all red-herrings to throw us off?

I wish I had thought of doing that before people started ripping into it, could have been fun :)

I think the full game is going through the approvals of various platforms and then in May they might reveal the release date along with the name of the game...:thumbs

Are u playing the game Ross?
what to do u feel about it?:rolleyes
An honest answer ;)plz..

two questions in my mind :rolleyes

1) during playing original game can we still create players and teams ?
2) kit editors are capable of providing new jerseys to different created teams?

plzz reply "big studios" :wave

You could always just remove actual features.

The issue is that if we remove something that the CA depends on then we get a crash, easier to leave the variables in.
