Cricket Academy Now Available

Extremely important to get this speed variation correct...as said it should be very very rare and difficult to have a speed diff of more than 25kmph

As a Online Veteran , I can vouch that this is one of the biggest Gripes , especially the Fast Medium bowler that has the biggest variation .

The Medium and Fast bowlers are almost Spot on .

Not sure about bowling in a skirt sure that would have definitely been a man’s idea. Had never seen it before, have seen the RAF one.

I was hoping to make a best of England team with some overseas players too. A 22 squad size including myself to cover all formats. Selection so far was Joe Root, Jos Buttler, Jason Roy, Lauren Winfield, Tammy Beaumont and Kathrine Brunt. Overseas Ellyse Perry, Joel Paris. Considering Sophie Ecclestone. Not really bothered about having legends or the world’s best players. Online league cricket is very competitive just wouldn’t expect anything less. The really great thing is you have another human player altering the field, bowling to plans. Against AI just couldn’t get the same feeling, don’t worry not here to sell online. Gamers have their own ways and preferences :). Chances are will be more career focused with the sequel still hopefully get some friendlies in along the way. Won’t be the end of the world if isn’t possible I was just curious, wasn’t sure if the PC team was more a novelty/showcase not actually representing custom teams if that makes sense.

I messed up my academy though. I went off the screen to go on my email to get the activation code, went back on there was no option to input it put my details in again it said user already existed. Next used my older Hotmail email address which the game is linked to now. I had my phone by my side this time, finally registered. Went to share, a message came up saying something like ‘immediate author argument’? So not sure what I should do now, it’s so frustrating because my laptop is really struggling with the academy also taking ages to register any change made.:(

Ironically, that match was a charity match for the Bradman Foundation!

At that stage Zoe Goss was considered the best Australian Women's player and a real trail blazer for women's cricket.

I guess the point here is that mixed teams have happened before - albeit in a very casual format. It also shows that no matter who is bowling, if you get the ball in the right area and/or induce a poor shot then you're a chance to get a wicket!

The help section in sharing account should give you any information you need to enter activation codes, reset passwords, etc.

@HBK619 I am having a problem logging into my DBC 14 account. I can log in when trying DBC 17 though. Tried changing password and reactivation but it keeps giving me an error.

Hopefully look into this over the weekend. I don’t mean to be a pain about it, just my clumsy luck once again. It might be a case of uninstalling the academy, waiting for the PS4. Definitely not meant as a dig or I hope you don’t take it that way. It will load up very slowly which isn’t ideal for creating know it’s a good thing/sign, far from complaining. Sure accounts are just for sharing content so I doubt I would be sharing much anyway. If it doesn’t work when the PS4 version arrives there isn’t much else I can do not going to sit there messing around with it, registered twice.

after i re installed my DBC14 and demo DBC 17 i lost all my data, profiles and everything including XP score also help what i do?i also ask to log in and some error showing

It isn't exactly true that mixed teams have only been allowed in a "very casual format". In recent years there have been female cricketers playing top level club/grade cricket in England/Australia, which, while not first class cricket, is certainly competitive cricket. And a couple of these occasions do prove your last point that cricket ability is not necessarily related to gender: in 2011 Arran Brindle made 128 for Louth 1st XI in the Lincolnshire Premier League, and last year Kate Cross picked up 3 for 19 off 7 overs for Heywood 1st XI in the Central Lancashire League.

Anyway, great news that Big Ant has included female cricketers in DBC17. The most important thing is that it could help get more girls into the sport, but as others have also suggested, I think it is probably very smart from a marketing point of view, as well. Another thought I had is that it might even get guys who play the game interested in following women's cricket more closely. Speaking for myself, I know that there is a part of me that wants to know all of the players I am playing with or against in games. It's more fun being bowled at by a bowler who you 'know', or getting a big partnership with a batsman you 'know'. I already spend too much time following men's cricket, and I probably have followed women's cricket closely enough that I would enjoy an Australia vs England match, but I can envisage watching more women's so that I can get to know other countries' teams/players better.

Will the system requirements change as more things are added?

My laptop runs the academy atm albeit with lag and the occasional crash to desktop when exiting player appearance page. Also when I move the mouse and click its never on where I was clicking. Not a massive issue as the rendering is a little laggy.

Is this going to become more of an issue down the line when playable assets are added?
