Five eliminations leave three in the race to become Botham's apprentice

The deadline for the third task has passed, and only one contestant completed it.

Manee managed to win the support of 13 people, so congratulations to him as he will be in the fourth task.

Failure to complete the task means that Sean B, Stuart Cullington, JJ Simpson, Phil Deasey and Griffo are all eliminated from the competition.

Freddie Seccombe and Willie Liebenberg are also in the fourth task because they were given byes. They had valid reasons for not being able to complete the task.

This means that there are only three contestants remaining in the entire competition, and one of them will take away the job of coach of Los Angeles Cricket Club.

Surprises are in store for the next task... Sir Ian's search for his coach - is almost over.

WHAT! you never told us how to submit them... i have 20

If it wasn't for those damn byes, I would have won. Oh well, guess I have easy competition in the next task ;)

I did tell you how to submit them. This was in my post explaining the task: "You must then take a screenshot (don't post a quote) of the PM and post it in this thread".

I think from that it was fairly clear about what I wanted you to do. There are no excuses.

Really?...

Task Three: winning over the fans

Instructions: send people private messages (at Planetcricket only) asking for their support - are you friends or not? If you are, the recipient must reply with the following words: "Yes, I will support you"! You must then take a screenshot (don't post a quote) of the PM and post it in this thread before 1st July 2007 at 11.00am BST.

i cant believe i gathered 20 for nothing... i didnt see how to submit them so i decided to wait for the others to start and nobody did

no chance of a late inclusion due to circumstances beyond my control??? :):):)

For what its worth, 20 replys. i did go through alot of trouble in getting all these and im quite disapointed. i would understand your view point but i would just like to show that i did make an effort towards this task

My person won!! :D

Manee.. may you win it all.

Freddw and Wildwil's byes only apply to the last task - that means if they don't complete this next task, it's their fault and there's no excuses!

This is it, the final task - three contestants left: Manee, Freddw and Wildwil.

"Your team are playing the bottom of the league. Everyone has been whipping them all season. Your bowlers did well, restricting them to 156 all out - but somehow your batsmen have messed it up and you find yourself 40/5. You played a weaker team for this match, expecting an easy victory, so your remaining batsmen aren't up to much. What are your instructions to them?"

Answer the question in 150 words or more and PM your answer to skateboarder by Wednesday 4th July 2007 at 4.00pm BST.

Who will become the coach of Los Angeles Cricket Club? This task will decide!
