Cricket Australia has enough of Twenty20

And the funny thing is they are (in my opinion) the best T20 team in the world, actually.. maybe second, but you get my drift yet they ain't 'interested' they don't have to be people, they are still absolutely awesome at it.

AND YES I KNOW INDIA WON THE T20 WORLD CUP.

Lol at bashing him for calling it 50-50 cricket. If you look at it, Twenty20 international cricket is also an ODI, because it is an international cricket game that is played in one day. 50 over cricket was called ODI or LOI simply because it was played over one day and not 5. That's obviously going to change now that there is another version that is being played in one day.
That was just one point I made, if you were going to call it 50 over cricket, fine, but 50-50 is just continuing this stupid Americanised Twenty20 name. I just said it because I was overall ready to take apart his post and wanted to start there. It's not really the main point of the post, as you can see.

At this point there's no need to cram more games into the schedule, which is generally quite well settled some time in advance. Most tours seem to involve at least one T20 fixture, which means there are plenty being played overall.

Personally, I think with the demise of the tri-series format, we should see a reinvented concept in a couple of seasons as a T20 tournament, providing more intense and more competitive games in a less protracted sequence, while still leaving room for a standard number of ODIs against the touring sides.

It is not an Americanized name. I believe Twenty20 was coined by whoever started the Twenty20 league in English cricket. How do you compare Twenty20 or 50-50 with NFL, NBA, NHL, MLB?

I know it wasn't created by Americans, but it sounds too big marketing franchised like american tournaments. Not so much the NBA or NFL parts.
