You need to rename "editor_new.dbj" to "db240782.dbj" and put it in the db\2007\ directory where you installed the game.

I have:

Saved the database with the changes in the editor
Found the file i edited
Renamed it db240782.dbj
And put it in the cc07 directory. That is "my documents/ cricket coach 2007"

What have i done wrong?
No8, where did you find the file you edited?

i can't find it ANYWHERE.

All the data files you need to edit are in the db\2007 directory, where you installed the game.

OK. Try changing just one thing and saving. Its probably the case that something went wrong last time :)

Try it again, chances are it'll work second time round.

BTW I'd have thought you guys would want to play the game, not edit it!

I like to edit players first :P

And I am on Vista, so possibly its another one of Vista's wonderful security features stopping the file from being created?

By the way, the second time didn't work either :P

I'll try the editor on Vista and get back to you...

OK, tested it on Vista and worked fine for me. I didn't install the editor within My Documents (or whatever it is called on Vista nowadays).
