@thedon5: Thanks for the feedback!
My main problems are the unwieldy controls, though. I mainly batted, and the game wanted me to use 6 fingers... I don't know about you guys, but I don't have 6 fingers, and I wouldn't like to use more than 3. Controls need to be made using the directional buttons or WASD, that'll give easy to use 45 degree control. Plus space for placing the bowling marker and the same WASD for bowling would be nice. I tried to change the controls to this but it wouldn't work.
By unwieldy controls, do you mean the differences between bowling and batting? I really should rework that - I've neglected it for too long. If not, you should be using WASD and A/B/C/D...maybe the help is just badly written? Alternatively, how can I simplify it (I just played it again now and it is kinda difficult)?
I don't know if this is possible to change as well, but I'm not familiar with 2D sports games, so playing this for the first time, the sprites look very small, and because of this the animations are not really visible at all, nor is the ball.
This is a recurring complaint - I *can* increase the size of the sprites, but I have absolutely zero pixel art skills. There is support for 3D models in the game (and we do have some base models) but none of us have animation skills...
There's a full screen option in the Video menu. You can toggle between Windowed and Full Screen.
And the audio wasn't working for me. For some reason it was set on mute by default, but even when I increased the volume, no sound at all came out.
Hehe, unfortunately there's no sound at this point. Again, the support is there for it, I just deleted the old ones due to copyright issues. As soon as I can get together a budget for sounds (or find some decent free ones) I'll include them in the game again.
These are just minor quarrels though, coming from someone who hasn't played your other game, this one is looking very good. KUTGW Kurt.
Count yourself lucky you didn't play the other one :P
Thanks for the comprehensive feedback, thedon5; it's greatly appreciated. I forgot to include the explanation of the coloured circles in the bottom right of the game window:
Red - power when playing a shot
Yellow - concentration/how settled a batsman is (this will differ against different bowlers)
Blue - stamina (this will affect various aspects including running and timing)
Kind regards
Kurt
