Bought and downloaded this a few months ago...kept Crashing in career mode so in the end gave it up.

@Hobbi07: Sorry to hear that :/ Any chance you'd be willing to try it again? It's pretty stable now. One of the users has played to midway in the 4-day competition in career mode. Be sure to grab the latest full version (2.650) and the latest patch (2.652). I'll upload the new full version (2.652) on Monday.

I will wholeheartedly echo the stability of the game now. Used to crash a lot during career mode. But am also way into the four day season without problems. On another note I have noticed that batting skills and bowling skills havent increased since the Twenty20 competition....any ideas Kurt? Another point for consideration is ways of speeding up the sim process. Simming four day games takes a long time.

A question Kurt which I am not sure you are able or willing to answer: did you manage to sell enough copies for you to consider developing the game further? Apart from the graphics where would you like to see this game going?

@Dutch: Do you mean your player's skills or the skills of all the players in general? Revising the simulations is definitely on my to-do list. I have some ideas that I implemented in the first incarnation of the game that might do the trick. I just need to find the time to implement them...

EDIT: I have no problem answering that question :P It's only sold around 70 copies, so not anywhere close to enough money to warrant continued work on the game unfortunately. There's been lots of games played/simulated (around 15,500) which is pretty cool, but I think people are happy to just play T20s. I don't think there's enough of an incentive to buy a full version.

I think I mean the bonus points you get which you can choose to use however you like. I got quite a few early doors but it seems to have stopped entirely now.

@Dutch: Ah, I see. Yes, it slows down quite a lot the higher you level. Those points are given to ramp up your development at the start to make it easier. As you level up the points are earned further apart. BUT your stats will still improve as you play the game without needing these points.

That is a shame to hear kurt, really. it is an excellent, excellent game and if people could take the time to really give it a go they would certainly see it as a top notch effort. I hope you somehow manage to keep supporting and developing what you have and that somehow it can grab the attention of more people. For 4,50 dollars it is an absolute bargain. It is my prefered game and gives me all the cricket kicks I need. Hope Pat will get his review up and that will give a little more attention. It deserves it.

Thanks, Dutch, I appreciate the kind words as always :) I'm not holding out much hope for more sales, but I'd give my left big toe to work on this game full time :rolleyes

Ha Ha! In that case if you ever should have need of a big left toe you can use mine.

I wish I could offer you more than just kind words Kurt, unfortunately I aint got much else!

And anyway you have already got the most important thing in your life. Hope you are both still doing well!;)

Ever the realist :) Weddings plans are still going smoothly, apart from the usual guest list issues, thanks. Looks like 26 April 2014 will be a day of merriment and lots of sweets. The only thing I demanded of this wedding is that I get a candy bar. Everything else on the day is incidental :P

Yours still on track too?

I can't export fixtures, it comes up with the following error "Error exporting tournament results". Help?

@Simon: Sure, no problem. Always happy to answer questions :)

1. Yup, you can toggle the camera type (FPS/normal) by pressing F10 in career mode.

2. The 3D view is disabled for simulations, but the simulation itself is still in 3D (if that makes sense). If you'd like to be able to view the game without playing, you can start the game normally (not a simulation). When the game starts, press Escape to go to the menu. Click on Controls. Then set both teams to use the Computer player. This way you'll get a simulation with the 3D view...

Cheers
K
