The fielding issues about they always send the players to the boundaries still in test matches :facepalm

They have the stupidest field placements in the 5th over of a test match sometimes. A couple of slips, a third man, a point, deep cover point, and 2 cover sort of positions and a midwicket or something :p

@hedger: Aaaah, right - thanks for the reminder. Will take a look at that for the next update. Not sure if I did anything about that in this update.

Hey looks like some great stuff is going on here! Finally after so many days I've got some free time to play and test it again. I wonder what I've missed now. I think I have release 7 so from which update do I need to download now? Do let me know about this when you're free. Thanks. :)

fearsome tweak these slow download speeds. Bloody 6 kb/s.

----------

Um, I can't extract the update files. It says 'Unexpected end of archive' when I try to extract it with winrar.

I still get the black and white corruption screen when I change the resolution and I got a blank black screen when I clicked on the "Windowed" button to change it to fullscreen. Any ideas on this? :(

CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo 2.2 Ghz
RAM: 1 GB DDR2 Dual Channel @ 800Mhz x 2

@saiyaman: That's an unresolved bug - you can just close the game and restart it and everything should look correct in the new resolution.

I'm still getting the same error while playing with NSW. :p This time, even the match didn't start. I just selected both the teams line ups (auto selected I should say) and when I clicked play the error came up.

Oh crap....the game doesn't start now. I had to close it from the Windows Task Manager since the game window showed me a black screen before. I can still see a process Cricket.exe but I wonder why it doesn't show up a SDI window now. :S

EDIT: Do you think I need to restart my system for this?

EDIT 2: Sorry about that. Solved it for now by manually editing the config file in the Data folder. Changed it to my native resolution and all's well that begins well. :D

EDIT 3(I Swear this is the last edit!):

Encountered a crash.

Steps to reproduce:

1. Start the game
2. In visual options set every detail to max
3. In audio options set sound to max
4. Start an exhibition match (India vs Pakistan with India as player)
5. Auto select both teams
6. Everything loads until the "Generating field textures" after which Microsoft error reporting pops up. :(

My configuration is:
CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo 2.2 Ghz
RAM: 1 GB DDR2 Dual Channel @ 800Mhz x 2
Graphics: Nvidia Geforce 8800GT
Monitor: Samsung SyncMaster 740NW (Native Resolution of: 1280x720 widescreen)
OS: Windows XP Service Pack 3
.NET version: 4

I believe that the game should work fine even at max textures right?
