can you make the bowling SKILL a combination of PACE , CONTROL ,INTELLIGENCE(a seperate attribute which include an ability to outwit the batsmen , bowl according to field ,general intelligence etc) and MOVEMENT instead of a single value because I have seen that bowler with high skill gets more wkts even if they don’t have pace or movement , my bowler TT Arafat can hardly move the ball even under favorable conditions and his max pace is 122k but he gets bucketloads of wkts because his skill is high , i dont think no matter how skilled you are you cant get frequent wkts if you bowl at 122ks max and cant move the ball at all[DOUBLEPOST=1431420450][/DOUBLEPOST]The weightage can be 25% each for all those 4 factors.
 
Are you referring to simulation or actually playing the game? T20 or ODI or FC? Fast sim or old sim?

EDIT: That weighting won't work since it'll mean poor bowlers who move the ball will take lots of wickets. It does take into account the control, swing, seam and spin at the moment but it could probably do with some tweaking.
 
Talking from both playing and simming perspective (all formats) , poor bowlers who can move the ball arent actually poor bowlers, I think you misunderstood the point , I am saying that (if I am not wrong )currently bowling SKILL is just a value which determines edges/wkts/lbws/caught/etc so instead a single value why not skill attribute consist of an avg value based on PACE,MOVEMENT,CONTROL and INTELLIGENCE so that it reflects a real skill of a bowler like for eg if a bowler has pace and control but not movement and intelligence he will still get some wkts and if a bowler has only movement and lacks other three factors he will not likely to get many wkts simple as that
 
@Allrounder18: Yeah, but it already includes all that - actually if you play the game, you'll notice that bowler's with low skill but high movement actually don't move the ball all that much. Seam/spin/swing is partially linked to your bowling skill.

The attributes are separate but all contribute to the overall bowler skill level.

EDIT: I think what you're getting at is that they aren't linked...but they actually are all linked :)

EDIT EDIT: I'm explaining myself really poorly - the bowler skill isn't the only factor used to determine who gets wickets and how.

awesome. i tweaked odis and have added tests now. just need to add follow-ons and allow you to view scorecards for simulated matches and i'll upload. might only have it ready tomorrow though.
 
I think scorecards should be on the RESULTS tab instead of popping up after the simulation , it will gonna break the famous blazing sim speed if it is included like it was before.

Ohh! I thought the patch will be ready by midnight tonight cuz I might skip office tomorrow :P
 
hmm i only ever saw 1 foreign player when i loaded up the first saved game (Pietersen), but he was there from the start apparently? can you send me a few other player names that i can check (from your "after" saved game)? will help cut down my debug time a lot.
 
Levi ,Levi, Philander , Gibbs , Snijman , Steyn , Vandiar ,Steyn looks like all of them are SouthAfrican , btw i didnt find pieterson so are you sure looking at the correct save?

Shot. I'll take a look at the save later. That's very strange :(

The fast sim changes are taking a little longer than I'd thought. The sim is fine now, but I still need to add the scorecards to the UI and the saved games. Almost there though. Should be one more day.
