Ah, so anything below that level doesn't count as international cricket? What a load of rubbish.LA ICE-E said:no i mean like the 1st class level or odi level not under 15 or women or sixes thing like in the real level- odi's tests 20/20s
Take it easy on the chap. He's new here. He's not used to your pedantic self.andrew_nixon said:Ah, so anything below that level doesn't count as international cricket? What a load of rubbish.
If you are talking about sheer populations of the countries where cricket is somewhat popular or is televised, then that probably does already involve about 30% of the world's population. Full members alone make up about a quarter. Beyond that, look at teams like Kenya, Ireland, Scotland, Canada, the Netherlands, UAE, Namibia... there are a lot of countries that regularly field an ODI team, many with multiple fully professional players.Definately agree with you there. What population of the worlds population currently plays cricket? 6 or 7 percent maybe? And think of the fantastic players we have: Flintoff, Ponting, Tendulkar, Lara, Warne...
If you then get 30% of the worlds population suddenly comes in, it could be incredible in a very short space of time.
if this minnow china in comin future becomes the permanent icc member.....then cricket biggest rivalry...indo-pak will shift frm india- china...n we will crush them for sure
