Cricket Leagues - Feedback and Suggestions

Maybe move this to the correct thread but could we have a cricket simulator with this:
  • Commentary, like Syedur Rehman. (With more variety)
  • Nice Looks, Contemporary, New & Proffessional
  • 6 Over and t20 Mode.
  • Easy to use and edit (teams)
  • League Manager & Editor.
  • Online link to PlanetCricket.
  • Update Player Stats Program
  • Before the end of 2011.
  • No teams on the simulator just a list of 75 players from each country, even locals g Varun Aaron; This does sound quite spoilt as if it can happen but it woulod be a life saver.

You make yourself. Period :thumbs :)

Any reason behind the less activity in this section these days?
Actually this was one of the most active forum.
Now the activity level is gradually decreased.

It happens. Activity fluctuates from time to time. Most people have exams around this time so that could be a reason. I imagine activity will dip even further when the holidays roll around.

For the managers here that their league has completed 3 seasons

EPL: 1048.25 posts per season (8 teams)
NZPL: 754 posts per season (8 teams)
LMS: 500.2 posts per season (10 teams)
GPL: 470.11 posts per season (10 teams)
PCL: 451.33 posts per season (3 PC teams)
AfPl: 443.2 posts per season (8 teams)
ODRC: 324.66 posts per season (8 teams)
SLPL: 242.5 posts per season (7 teams)
ZPL: 232.33 posts per season (6 teams)
MCC: 174.16 posts per season (5 teams)

As you can see, the tourmaets with 8 or more teams are popular then the ones that have less than 8 teams. But let's just have a look at the average per team, per season. PCL won't count here.

EPL: 131.03 posts per team
NZPL: 94.25 posts per team
AfPl: 55.4 posts per team
LMS: 50.02 posts per team
GPL: 47.011 posts per team
ODRC: 40.58 posts per team
ZPL: 38.72 posts per team
MCC: 34.83 posts per team
SLPL: 34.64 posts per team

As you can see, it is nearly the same order with some changes here and there but SLPL might need to improve the posts per team and per season to help them go up the table. I will show you the year rankings later.

Sartaj, Chewie, and Iridium have all run EPL's in that same thread, and I don't think you included Sartaj's and Chewie's seasons in your calculation above.

APL and WPL would both be above my league in terms of posts per season, but I think the EPL would be about equal.

Post count really means nothing though, unless you go through and analyse how many matches each league has per season, how much spam each league has etc.

cant believe i played 17 games, only remember myself qualifying for one champions league tournament.

Wow,good job Hari and Matt, looks like I've missed out on a lot of good stuff around here.

And hey, whatever happened to all the good old IPLs? :p

@swacker,your idea sounds quite good. It'll be an interesting league.Good luck if you're making it:thumbs:)

Hey guys! Just wanted to request all people who can manage a league very well. If possible, can someone make a league where you have owners and players both of planetcricket members. You can have a count to a certain no. of teams and sell them for a certain price in vcash. and if anyone else wants to own the same team, we can have an auction. After each team is sold, a particular amount is alloted for buying players. Each member thus wishing to be a part as a player, puts his base price in vcash(could keep a low minimum). Finally, when we have a good list of players ready, we can auction that players out categorically( Batsmen, then all rounders, then bowlers, then wicketkeepers....). Ultimately as then each team would have its players, we can begin the league with fixtures.

Every owner in consultancy with the captain, would put up their lineups. It would be great as we have a lot of rich members there.........The league manager would have to do a lot of homework as the players should be rated in the cricket simulators , according to their history in the league. Also we can have a system of loans, where a player can be brought in on a loan for a match with the remaining vcash from the allotted sum.

In the end every team receives a certain amount of vcash as match fees and/or bonus and 20% of the proceedings go to the players in equal amounts.......Hence in the end, managers don't suffer a big loss.

I would like only someone experienced in this to do such a league.

Ofcourse as its not a professional's thought, you could implement changes.
I guess every one must be interested in it and those who have no knowledge of leagues could be brought in too.

Whatsay PC?

P.S: If its not quite a good idea, please stop me.
