I have no idea abt this one,but incase did it involve either Warwickshire or Yorkshire?
No.

You just need to think of players who have played for two teams, at the same time, and are well known for having done so. If you do that, the teams will come to you, as well as the location, and the time period.

Did this game involve Surrey or Somerset? How about Lancashire?
None of those.

Just think of players who have played for two teams at the same time, and are well known for having done so. Remember, both teams are English but only one is a county side.

Was the match between MCC and a county side, say Surrey? at Lords?
I've already said it wasn't Surrey.

Also, the MCC does not have a regular playing staff.

I keep saying it, but there are some players who are well known for playing for two teams at exactly the same time. Think of some.

Well, you seem to be struggling at this one, so I'll reveal part of the answer.

The English county side that played was Middlesex.

Now think of someone who is well known for playing for Middlesex and another team at the same time.
