Maybe next time we should just do this randomly seeing how long it is taking...

Well nobody really has any tactics against stopping other nations from getting 4 territories next to each other so it would have been easier to just choose the rest of our territories now.

It's only going to take eight days (two days per territory), which isn't really that long, considering other leagues normally take at least two weeks to set up the squads.

Well i am giving my picks once in every two days , so yeah , 8 days is what it take to complete the drafts . But it would be much better if the Indian and pakistani team managers (of this league) were to give their picks sooner !

Also India, England and Pakistan are all up now.

All-Rounder (Pakistan) has actually been very good at making his picks (so far). :p

As I said above I'm not going to muck around, so if you come online and don't pick, I'm not even going to wait 24 hours. (Especially when most teams have two managers)

I can pretty much predict now where everyone's going to end up. :p

In the real game the territories are decided by a shuffle of the cards aren't they?

I think that's a variation of the rules, maybe for a shorter game. Most of the time you do it this way, but of course everyone's in the same room so it's just instant.

Oh I think that's because when I play there are normally only two of us so we have to have a dummy player, and since they can't pick their territories it's done randomly.

Quicker method is what it says ...

Wikipedia said:
An alternate and quicker method of setup from the original French rules is to deal out the entire deck of Risk cards (minus the wild cards), assigning players to the territories on their cards.

That's the random method. The Risk Cards are a deck of cards with the territories on.

ATM Rahul/Varun haven't been disadvantaged at all, because the two territories NZ and the WI took were no where near their ones, so if they get on and pick soon they won't have any reason to complain. :spy
(It's past 10 in the morning their time, so surely one of them will come on before they go off to do whatever they do during the day)

Callum, i've now got 3 territories, one of which can't be invaded by another team because i've got 2 surrounding it. So am I allowed to leave that un-manned and have 2 players on another territory.

No, sorry. :p

You can just put a pretty average player there though, to avoid wasting a useful player.
