Cricket Stories

Watson's not likely to give up the ghost - Cricket - Sport - smh.com.au

Our English guys here must have read this. This whole thing appeared in The Sun, England's largest selling newspaper.

Lol the sun is the worst paper in England for making things up tbh they quite literally make things up, the thing normally has one or two little notices apologising for lying in a story or distorting a story.

I wouldn't believe a word The Sun or the Daily Mail said.

Anyway Ghosts do exist I saw a show about it, it must be true they walked around a house being scared of the dark :p

Do you guys remember that Shane Watson- ghost incident? That happened most probably a month after the 04 CT (or maybe after the 05 ashes don't remember correctly) . The australian team was staying at a well-known hotel in don't remember where, and one night, Watsy ended up seeing not one but a whole army of skeletons wearing WW II suits practicing marchpast in his room. As soon as he saw this, he quicky rushed out of his room and started to shout and kick outside Brett Lee's room. Lee opened the door and heard the whole story from Watsy, and neither Lee nor Watsy could sleep alone that night. You must have read such an article in the papers, it created quite a hoolabay then. Don't know whether this is true or not, just posted here what I had read in the papers.

One more thing :D, Watsy isn't the only person to have seen those ghosts. A West Indian team of the late 70's had a similar experience while staying at that particular hotel- well, that's what the paper says.

God. I was on that and saw a couple of sites do have that story. But when searched on youtube, i came up with that hell, warned video of demons. I didn't look at it, but never intended to watch it and still trembling with that comments they(people who watched it) have made.

Type "ghosts". Lol.

Yeah, They said Lee and Watson weren't asleep that night when watson said what he felt to lee, in the Durham castle. Funny Darren said the next day to watson, "Don't worry, you can sleep on my bed" imitating a ghost.

Heard that from a site. lol.

Oh bugger. The Sun posted it in their paper, it must be true. Sorry people, ghosts exist after all. Apologies.

I never said this story was true, neither am I telling anyone to believe it, what is more important I myself don't believe this. Ghosts don't exit- everyone here knows this. It's just a creepy, funny story about Watsy. It is really funny how such a muscular and popular guy like Watsy got spooked by a tinny winny ghost that night. This thread's title is Cricket stories- just mere stories- and this is a really funny and lol story. That's why I posted this. You know what- you guys are damn serious, you don't know how to laugh or make fun. Why so serious, guys? Why do we visit these e-forums? The simple answer is- to have some fun and to discuss serious things in a light hearted way. Why are you taking it so seriously? It is just a lol story about a two-years old boy named Watsy who is afraid of ghosts and who got spooked by a big fat ghost one night. Simple- laugh at this, this is a funny story, that's why I posted this.

Don't like the forums and think we are all too serious? You can always leave :) Don't really think cricket discussion was meant to be the side splitting section, you appear to feel you can make it.............

Always humour and jokes though. We are British and one is not amused ;)

When did I say that?

I may be wrong, but I think this thread's name is "Cricket Stories" and not "Cricket Discussion". And I think "Cricket Stories" mean a thread where we will have to post real-life stories of the different cricketers, be it funny or serious. And I posted a funny story about Watson- what I don't get is that instead of extracting the fun from this story why are you guys debating and quarrelling over my post? Whether ghosts exist or not is another debate, but here why don't we just forget all this and just be funny and laugh loudly over this lol but true story?

When did I say that?

You did ignore the second part of my sentence.....

Nope. Definetly in the cricket discussion forum ;)

And I think "Cricket Stories" mean a thread where we will have to post real-life stories of the different cricketers, be it funny or serious.

We have a cricket story forum :p

Whether ghosts exist or not is another debate, but here why don't we just forget all this and just be funny and laugh loudly over this lol but true story?

Once again, we are British and one is not amused ;)

Also, ghosts exist :p But Watson is an Aussie, so naturally scared by such harmless things as ghosts ;)

This thread is perfect where it is. If you have a story, I suggest you post a source for it (either magazine or link) as King Cricket has done to ensure it is not a figment of your imagination. Secondly, please stop quarreling about the validity of each and every story. If you don't believe the story, that's your right. Personally, I find them a bit amusing.

Thanks. :)

Dan king cricket didn't say ghosts exist he just posted the story about the fact Watson being a girl.

The next game Goughy kept going up behind him shouting boo! Legend, I hope he had words after the loss yesterday, he is a better batsmen than Bellend.

I agree with sohum, from now on we all should post a source with stories so that noone doubts its validity. Okay?:cheers
