Ouch, bruised ankles really hurt. I managed to nearly get one practicing shots without any pads or anything. Just smacked the bat into the back of my left ankle. Couldn't walk for 10 minutes. (ow...)

Should've kept your eyes on it

The coaches were debating about how I should have caught it, one said I should have got my head out the way, but the other defended me, saying keep your eye in the line.

Being hit right in the hand during training by the schools fastest bowlers.

Fair Dinkum! The school has some of the worst equipment ever, 'specially the gloves. It hurt so bad...

Err, being hit in the thigh- without a guard as I usually can't be bothered to bring my kit to training- by a guy at my school (a year above) who generally bowls at around 115 kph, which is pretty decent. Also, going for a massively skied catch- the sun was in my eyes, and another guy was pursuing it too- only for it to absolutely destroy my pinky, thereby dashing my innings which awaited me in only twenty minutes...(last over; change of innings; I open). Funnily enough, it was the last game of the season, but affected me for quite a few weeks to come! :p
Obviously, there've been countless other injuries sustained during cricketing activities, such as a stress reaction (which was pretty bad for my age, but my action didn't really help) and plenty more.

I've never had any bad injuries, I've had the usual niggles back, shoulder, knees.

Playing indoor cricket I kept wicket for 3 overs, two overs against a guy who can bowl 110kmh off a 5 step run up. We were playing in the net in front of the canteen, where visibility is bad and I just couldn't pick up the ball. By the end of it I got hit in the balls once, hit right under the kneecap, two jarred fingers and an extremely bruised hand.

My worst would be catching my spinning finger on the roof of the nets at School.

I had to revert to pace as because of the loop and the heat of point of delivery (Worked out at 8 Feet) the ball would just land on the roof of the net.

I remember playing under 12 cricket, some fast bowler bowled a full toss at me which lacked smack on my left hand. I could hardly hold the bat afterwards, which is my defence for being bowled next ball.

The shock of being hit by a fast bowler often signals the end of most peoples innings. One guy bowled a looping beamer that I just got my bat in front of (and my head out the way). Scared me badly. I was bowled soon after.

I remember posting this in another similar thread but I might as well say it again:

I came in at number 11 against the spinners, so I decided against wearing a helmet and chose to wear my brimmer. I then got bounced by one of their spinners and my nose was broken in two places!

Is anyone here ever been hit on their private parts :p does it hurt? badly?

What? You havent been hit until now? how old are you? :D:D What a shame! yes if you get hit hard it does hurt a lot! :D

thankfully not, but occasionally i dont wear a box, so if it happens well i dont want to imagine

If there is one piece of protective equipment you should always wear, it is a box!

My worst injury was earlier this season, about 7 weeks ago I think. Whilst batting I basically stretched too far forwards, putting way too much pressure on my back leg and my knee gave way. Missed a couple of games and really came back too early, but the club was desperate that weekend and I couldn't stop myself despite it being the wrong thing to do!

I haven't personally, despite not wearing a box, but I remember a friend on a rough grasss pitch recently, ball bounced up and hit him in the crotch, he was worried about becoming infertile whilst we were feeling sorry for him. Within half an hour he was standing again, and actively fielding. It was a bit unlucky, it was his second ball (the first he had been out caught, but I let him stay in).

I've been hit in the privates a few times in the field; Some pitches are a bit bumpy so sometimes they hit divots and.....well you get the picture.
