What happens to the wide parameters when a switch hit is performed (particularly in an ODI or T20I where leg side wides are quite strict)?

For example, just say a right handed batsman switches stance to a left handed batsman, if you bowled outside off stump (LH's off stump, RH's leg stump) and the batsman missed/left the ball, would it be called a wide, as if the RHB maintained his usual stance, it would be very likely that the ball would be called a leg side wide?

Could you bowl wide down the leg side of the LHB stance (after switching from a RHB stance) and not be called a wide, as you can bowl a fair way outside off stump to a RHB stance?

Hope that made sense.

The wide parameters shouldn't switch.

If a batsman takes stance right handed, and moves to a lefty, and gets a delivery way down the legside of his LHB stance, it shouldn't be a wide.

Does a player have to be the citizen of a country to play for that countries team and when can a player play for 2 teams?

Could it be used as an easy way to get wides though?

For example, the right handed batsman switches to a left handed batsman stance during the run up of the bowler, allowing the bowler enough time to adjust, then it is likely the bowler will bowl outside off stump (LHB off stump, RHB leg stump), in which case the batsman could leave the ball and expect the ball to be called a wide (as basically anything outside the RHB leg stump is generally called a wide in ODIs and T20Is)?

Nope. If you take stance as a righty before the ball is bowled, the wides will be adjudged as for a righty.

55.9 mph, Swann arrows this down the leg side, Kieswetter collects and is so excited that he whips off the bails and has an enormous appeal. Pollard had indeed lifted his back foot! That was an extraordinary stumping, it all looked innocuous 42/2

Don't see what that piece of commentary is floating around here. :p

To answer Num's question, I don't believe there is a particular law for the wide delivery on a switch hit. I do recall a situation in one of the matches, though, where on the switch hit a ball that was now down the leg side was not called a wide because it was in the original hittable range. So I believe the umpires are essentially calling it like that--there is now no "down-the-leg-side" wide if you do the switch hit, except if it is way wide (outside the tramlines).

Guys, one question, What actually Symonds now is?
Is he banned from playing for Australia, (or) being ignored by Australian Selectors?

And what is his progress in his Rugby career?

Can someone kindly answer this for me?

As far as I know, he is not being considered for selection by CA but he still plays in the Big Bash and IPL.

Just came to know that Arjuna Ranatunga did some overaction against the umpires in Adelaide ODI against England, can anyone say me what actually happened?
