Dale's House Of Retro Studioz

I never had the chance to watch him play, but I found his commentary quite funny, and nowadays he's into things not remotely related to Cricket.

Politician these days is he not? I wish more players wore turbans while playing, it makes making the hair soo much easier haha

Politician, yes and also one that grabs a lot of media attention. Though post his cricket (and commentary) career, he's mostly famous for being a judge of comedy shows, or being part of them in some manner.

Yep, Turbans have dissappeared nowadays in cricket. I have seen some wearing it in the IPL, and one player in County Cricket. Otherwise, not many continue to wear it once they go into cricket.

I think The selection policy was to stick a picture of each bowler on a knife-throwers wheel, spin it round and whoever’s pic the knife thrower impaled got a cap

A bit off-topic, but India never found anyone close to this legend's class. I never knew a lot about him, then my mother told me a lot about him, be it 1983 WC or otherwise. Even Pakistan, never got another Imran again. England in some way have been lucky that they got Flintoff and Stokes, after Botham. NZ, also has been a place that's produced good bowling all rounders even till date.

I think New Zealand has produced loads of allrounders John Reid from the 50s and 60s sometimes goes uunnoticedaling with Hadlee and a host of very good allrounders, it must be something I the waters...Barry Knight was a very good English allrounder from the 60s, two best ever must be Sobers and Kallis..then Imran, Botham, Hadlee and Kapil. Franklyn Stephenson and Collis King would have got greater recognition but for being rebels.[DOUBLEPOST=1583510967][/DOUBLEPOST]
