DBC17 Features!

Ross, Matt and team...after playing 500hrs online i somehow feel button A to leave a ball is the option which is not used at all...because no one is premeditated to leave ball...just watching the ball closely and not offering a shot should give a batsmen a leave kind of animation and use the button A for some other action...try considering this...thanks

Perhaps 'A' could be used for padding the ball away to spinners?

leaving a ball with R3 was more convenient, even padding the ball and to duck if we get some keys that would be great then

The letter buttons have no business in batting for anything that cannot be premeditated.

I would make leave r3 + trigger with no las input

R3 + l3 would be a dig out of a yorker

R3 + las would sway or duck in the direction of las

they can't do that
i think there was a debate on this topic earlier too
reason being that if you want that whenever you don't offer a shot batsman should automatically leave the ball so we don't have to press any button for it but problem is that how BA will decide at what point of time batsman should do animation of leaving the ball bcoz sometimes it happens that a batsman play a shot very late with late timing
and if batsman do decide to leave the ball automatically then it will be done only after the ball has passed the batsman which is unlike real cricket
it won't look realistic at all seeing that ball has already passed the batsman and then he is leaving the ball
and if he does that a bit earlier then late timing shots will get eliminated from the batsman armory

Brian Lara Cricket'99 had both the manual & automatic 'leave' option. But then they also had ball-placement marker on the pitch, so the batting player knew before the bowlers run up whether the ball is going to be short-pitch & thus could leave it if they wanted to. In other words, the predictability window was too large, unlike Bradman series where the window is quite small. Its better then to have 'leave' option by just not offering the shot.

For the devs - might be a stupid question - is there any way at all to access these released DBC Cricket Academy features directly on my PS4?

Not a dev but to answer your question... Right now, no. Through the game when it's released, yes.

I don't know if there are any plans to bring any version of the Academy to consoles as a demo.

Too bad - I guess I just get to be jealous of all you Steam-powered PC folks! Looks like this is a great tease though - been watching a lot of YouTube clips and it looks incredible.

there must be any key for leave then y not R3 as moving ur finger to A key is more inconvenient than pushing R3 for leaving.

also what about if the keys for padding the ball and ducking, dont u think that would be awesome to pad the spinners in test match specially leggy and similar duck the genuine fast bowler bouncers at hard wickets.

Hmmm...., so where were we?
