Death...

how would you know "painfull" death is really "painfull" or "evil".. I mean you only feel/know something when it is done... know what i mean?

I'm pretty sure you'd feel being shot in the stomach and being left to slowly bleed to death, that's the ultimate in painful slow deaths. Being shot in the stomach with a powerful gun is apparently the most agonising place to get shot, and it's continually painful until you bleed to death apparently. So i'm sure you'd feel that before you died ;).

Usy actually raises a very good point, imo.

Have anyone see People dying with Bone cancer???
You better not...Most Painful situation ever on this Universe..

i think then doctors should be allowed to inject stuff that kills them fast, to that person, if they wanted to not die in "painfull" death.

But non of us know if it really is painfull to die.

You raise an interesting ethical question. I agree with you Usy, that Euthanasia is a very reasonable question. I think it should be legal and not be so outlawed as it is in many countries including Britain. However it is legal in Switzerland. I agree that it should be the choice of those suffering themselves and not the right of the government to decide whether someone should die. However it's a difficult questions because assisted suicide can be consturued as helping someone commit suicide but it can also be twisted as killing someone and so its a very difficult, sensitive area.

As many have said themselves, I don't fear death, but I certainly don't want to die. (Which is a given really!)

I do believe there is an afterlife, and I would be happy going to either Heaven or Hell, because, as bad as everyone believes Hell is, it has to be better than what is here on Earth. Don't get me wrong, there isn't anything wrong with what's going on here, but if you are going somewhere for eternity, then it won't be bad as this, because we are here for only a tiny fraction of time. Heaven seems pretty cool, and it will be nice to meet all of my ancestors, and have a chat with them about what's gone on with them since they died.

I also envisage things happening a lot, lot quicker up/down there. One day for the afterlife equals something like a century on Earth. Again, it boils down to the eternity thing.

I had a whole spiel lined up about my beliefs, but I have gotten sidetracked, and forgotten most of what I had lined up. If it comes to me I'll post it.

As much as I believe in Heaven and the hell. I will not completely agree with you mate, the world we live in now is no where near a good or even a better place to live.We have our good time, we live good, but there is no point in a life where you don’t look at the bad stuff goes around we don't take note for, and other side of the prospect. I mean look at all the evil goes round the world.. Drugs, rape, abuse, war, fighting, corruption, hunger…. And the list keeps on going on and on…..

I’m certainly not saying that one should get depressed by these things, but everyone should make an effort anyway, to make earth better for everyone, or even take note of what goes round in reality. As per thread, it’s more important to ask questions about what goes on right now then when you die, because we’ll see that later.. Keeping the balance!

I hope people didn’t start loving me after this post :p.

I reckon drowning is probably the worst way to die, that or being suffocated are two ways I would definitely not want to die.
Even when you are forced to hold your breath or stay underwater for a short while it feels very, not painful, but very uncomfortable (not sure if that's the right word to use). It's hard to imagine how bad it would be not being able to breathe for so much long.

My horrible way to die: buried alive.

You could feel your life slipping away, knowing that is the end would tear your apart.

They say it's impossible to hold your breath to kill yourself unless you're in water.

How else could you die if you're not in pain apart from dying in your sleep or from old age?

So if you've ever experienced physical pain then it wouldn't be much different, probably just worse enough to kill you.

When someone's murdering you of course, you're gonna feel it until you eventually die.
