Delhi Daredevils Get a Go Through after they draw Rajasthan Royals.
Well, The third of the ongoing IPL FCC match was finished with a draw. It was Delhi Daredevils, who won the toss and they've decided to bat first. They started off well but only mistake Sehwag did costed him his wicket to Yusuf Pathan. Gambhir played well and he took the way of his friend Sehwag when he came on the score of 30. Tillataratne Dilshan, the player in form failed and he went out for a duck. AB de Villiers played an anchor role but not for a long time. He, along with Dinesh Karthik played for some time but Karthik fell when he was on 38 to Johan Botha. Even AB de Villiers fell in Botha's Trap when he was on 65. Rajat Bhatia stuck to crease for sometime but Mithun Manhas fell early. Daniel Vettori had some other plans and he played along with Rajat Bhatia. They added up some 130 runs. Then, Bhatia gave an easy catch to the bowler, Ravindra Jadeja. Amit Mishra played an handy innings of 30 runs and fell to Shane Warne. Nehera played a small innings but Daniel Vettori was in tension. But Dirk nannes gave him support for him to lift his bat along with his helmet for his century.
Then, finally, he fell to Kamran Khan at 101, taking Delhi Daredevils to a respectable total of 371.
Then, Rajasthan Royals gave a strong reply to Delhi Daredevils. Asnodkar and Greame Smith started off well. But Asnodkar fell to Daniel Vettori when he was on 40 sending Naman Ojha in. Naman Ojha played a handy innings at no. 3. He scored 28 runs and gave his wicket to Vettori. Mascarenhas Fell to Nannes at 15 and Greame Smith even fell to Nannes in the same over. Yusuf Pathan played a responsible knock of 31 but, he again fell to Nannes.Ravindra Jadeja, Abhishek Raut and Johan Botha failed in scoring the crucial runs they needed but Shane Warne played a responsible knock. He scored 26 but the rest spoiled the Rajasthan Innings, for getting all out for 263. Nannes took 6 wickets, two each for Nehera and Vettori. It was already lunch time of Day 3, so, if the game was to go for a Draw, DD would get a go through.
Gambhir and Sehwag started off well, scoring 42 each. de Villiers and Dilshan played good cricket but they fell for low scores. Dinesh Karthik played a responsible knock of 60 but Rajat Bhatia failed. Mithun Manhas went for a duck, but Daniel Vettori played a good Tail Ending knock of 37 runs and there were no nameble scores except what Nehera scored.
Kamran Khan picked up 4, Jadeja picked 3, Mascarhenas, Pathan, Botha took one each.
Shane Warne looked bit injured as he just bowled 8 overs, and he even din't come on field when the innings started.
It was Day 4, Lunch, when this happened. But Delhi Daredevils Bowlers stuck well in the start but later on, Rajasthan Batsmen tried their best in drawing the match. Asnodkar fell for 5 runs, Ojha went for a duck, Mascarenhas fell for 13, Pathan for 7 and Greame Smith for 46. It was tea time and Delhi Daredevils almost seemed to clinch the match. But, Jadeja played a good knock of 37 runs and fell to Vettori. Even though he played 37 runs, he played too slow. Johan Botha played absolutely defense and even Shane Warne did that, which resulted in no result in the game.
Delhi Daredevils were given a go through for Semi Finals as they had a lead after the first Innings.
Daniel Vettori was named Man of the match for his century and crucial wickets in both the innings'.
