In their 1st innings, the Violet Vanguards scored 206 all out in 73.5 overs, with a run rate of 2.79. The highlight of the innings was Virat Kohli's impressive 118 runs off 180 balls, including 25 fours, which significantly contributed to the team's total. Other batsmen struggled to make significant contributions, with Sticky McWicket @RUDI scoring 20 and Ashutosh Kumar @Ashutosh. adding 24. The rest of the lineup failed to reach double figures, except for Devon Conway with 9 runs.

Tee Vee @Till Valhalla and Bruce Wayne @TSPrathik were the stars of the show for the Commanders. Tee Vee opened with a solid 53 off a marathon 210 balls, including 11 fours. Bruce Wayne, though, was the main man, smashing 83 runs off 181 balls with 17 boundaries. Umair Nazim @Umair7 also chipped in nicely with a well-crafted 52.
The Commanders had some decent partnerships in the middle, especially Tee Vee and Umair Nazim putting together an 86-run stand, and then Bruce Wayne and Glen Maxwell later adding 81 runs to the scoreboard. These partnerships were crucial in building up their total.
On the bowling front for the Vanguards, Pillow Procter @pillowprocter was the pick of the bowlers, snagging 4 wickets for 95 runs in his 33 overs. Pinch Hitter @Pinch hitter also made his presence felt with 3 wickets for 57 runs. Mitchell Starc was economical, taking 2 for 47.
Extras contributed 14 runs to the Commanders' total, which included a mix of wides, no-balls, and leg-byes. All in all, a solid team effort by the Commanders to put a competitive total on the board. Now, it's over to their bowlers to make it count!

Aravind Gilly @Aravind. was the main man, grinding out a solid 72 off 214 balls, smacking 15 boundaries along the way. He really dug in his heels. Then there's Virat Kohli and Ashutosh Kumar @Ashutosh. who threw in some crucial runs, scoring 55 and 57, respectively. Kohli was especially punchy, hitting 12 fours and keeping things lively with a strike rate nearing 68.
The innings had its moments with some key partnerships. Gilly was in the thick of it, especially with an 81-run stand with Kohli that added some much-needed zest to their score. Towards the end, Ashutosh Kumar and Mitchell Starc put up a brave 51-run partnership, pushing their team's total over the 300 mark.
Bowling for the Crimson Commanders, Mahir Amir @Na Maloom Afraad led the charge, snagging 3 for 91 off his 27 overs. Talha Hayat @CerealKiller and Dwight Kurt Schrute @mohsin7827 weren’t far behind, each taking a couple of wickets and keeping the Vanguards on their toes. And then there's Glen Maxwell, who, in just a handful of overs, managed to grab a wicket with an impressive economy.
The extras column added 11 runs to the Vanguards' tally, thanks to a mix of wides, no-balls, and leg-byes, showing that the Commanders' bowlers kept things pretty tight, all things considered.
All in all, the Vanguards' innings had a mix of grit and determination, with players stepping up when needed. Facing a solid bowling attack from the Commanders, they ended up setting a target of 184 that makes for an interesting setup as the match heads into its final stretch.

Aravind Gilly @Aravind. was the main man, grinding out a solid 72 off 214 balls, smacking 15 boundaries along the way. He really dug in his heels. Then there's Virat Kohli and Ashutosh Kumar @Ashutosh. who threw in some crucial runs, scoring 55 and 57, respectively. Kohli was especially punchy, hitting 12 fours and keeping things lively with a strike rate nearing 68.
The innings had its moments with some key partnerships. Gilly was in the thick of it, especially with an 81-run stand with Kohli that added some much-needed zest to their score. Towards the end, Ashutosh Kumar and Mitchell Starc put up a brave 51-run partnership, pushing their team's total over the 300 mark.
Bowling for the Crimson Commanders, Mahir Amir @Na Maloom Afraad led the charge, snagging 3 for 91 off his 27 overs. Talha Hayat @CerealKiller and Dwight Kurt Schrute @mohsin7827 weren’t far behind, each taking a couple of wickets and keeping the Vanguards on their toes. And then there's Glen Maxwell, who, in just a handful of overs, managed to grab a wicket with an impressive economy.
The extras column added 11 runs to the Vanguards' tally, thanks to a mix of wides, no-balls, and leg-byes, showing that the Commanders' bowlers kept things pretty tight, all things considered.

The start was a bit wobbly, with Tee Vee @Till Valhalla and Talha Hayat @CerealKiller heading back to the pavilion quicker than they’d have liked.
