Don Bradman Cricket 14 - first impressions thread

Not sure we need a replay of every delivery, and the fielders take the bails off a bit unnecessarily, but enjoying it so far. Bowling so absolute filth with England but got Australia down to 18 for 2 after 1.5 overs.

----------

And Maxwell just edged to the keeper! ORGASM.

It would be nice to see a cutscene if you are getting awarded man of the match at the end of the match in career mode. I got four MOTM so far in one year of career but I would feel more happy if I can see that in a cutscene. Let me know your thoughts about this.

Well this has been stated ad nauseum but want to reiterate that in test and first class matches, when you bowl a 'bad' ball, the AI should look to be aggressive playing shot along the ground as opposed to going airborne all the time. Takes you out of the immersive experience too much and gives impression every game is a one day/T20 match

I agree here. The lofted aggressive shots is really turning me off. This was a problem with Ashes 2010 as well. Ross please give us a way to turn down the test match batting aggression by AI.

This, now this, is the cricket game I've been waiting for. There's nothing quite like a fast bowler getting a thin edge. Been playing for nearly 5 hours... took the West Indies on a tour of India... now career mode. See you next week I think!

guess this has been said..........
but the difference between amateur and professional levels is a quantum leap in this game!!

don't u just think lightblurs??
on amateur - i can bowl out the aussies for 30 in t20 and win with boundaries in about 2 overs batting
on pro - the bowling meter zone is way too small - and i haven't hit the ball once :lol

I'm pretty good at bowling. Taken two 5-fors in 3 matches for Essex. But I'm yet to score a run.

The bowling is pretty easy even on pro. Just practice a little. The batting is really hard but if you're really not hitting anything maybe you haven't chosen front or back foot with LAS. That is required on pro
