Firstly this is bordering on racial connotations, secondly havin just spent 2 days in the big smoke I can say people in London are not obnoxious or proud, they're Eastern European or African.

What a load of crap

Lived in SW London all my life (close to Wimbledon/Chelsea) and where we are is mostly white and British

Get your facts right

He may be referring to central london where a lot of people are eastern euro or african or anywhere but english :lol

A great salesman would've done that, clearly he's not and not a cricket fan, I like how the guys at BT Games S.A are so well informed, don't worry DBC14 is near and we'll be playing it soon

Even a half wit would've done that, thinking about it isn't it a bit unprofitable if Ross/trublu have paid for the play session etc to drum up awareness and sales for the game only to have the company they're using not pulling their weight??
Don't know who stumps up the dough or whether eb games are doing it for free hoping people will pre order while there in store but it's bad business if all big ants hard work is gonna go unnoticed due to incompetence of eb staff. Any thoughts Ross?

As far as I'm concerned theres nothing wrong with fans of cricket games being eager to get there hands on and start playing especially as it's been years since a cricket title has launched.

As far as marketing decisions and launch dates are concerned, it should be left to the experts however as a mere fan, I can't see why anybody would sit on a completed game.

EDIT: Yes I know the idea is to release when most profitable but I don't see the Don Bradman name or franchise being effected by releasing it now or next year- if the game was called ashes then I could see it being worthwhile waiting till the Ashes were on to release but this is not the case IMO

From what's bein said on the forum, its more to do with the competition and whether their game will release and when. I think, and this is IMO, that most people know bigants game is way ahead of "ashes cricket" but as the other game has licenses and with the upcoming series it may sell better to casual gamers or people not aware of DB14!

EB Games is the biggest chain of specialist video game stores in the country.

Be careful of thinking one employee represents the entire company.

Any employee ought to either know or be looking it up.

That's what I would have thought!

Especially when it's available for pre order there!

Is it really??? Well that's even worse!!!

I did say Ross.

Snowy I see you do save Ross a lot of time replying to posts for him but I'd rather know from the organ grinder, I'm sure eb games wouldn't be the biggest if this was their sales/ customer service policy, so obviously its an issue! If they have one bad salesman in every fourth store that's a fair few people bein told they know nothing about the game.If Ross doesn't think it's an issue or is too busy that's fine.

I was in Camden!!!!

It's only really preorder by default. There's not copies on the shelves promoting preorders like other games.

One there's a release date there will be the awareness at retail level. It's better for them not to know than to mislead customers about it.

Yeah camden is pretty much central I meant all of that area, tbh a lot of london is very multicultural, theres the odd few places that aren't

Probably the more affluent areas? Chelsea, Barnes Knightsbridge and that? I was up there to see an old punk band.

No probs barmy, have you any idea when pre orders will be available in UK? Do you think the date of the play sessions is a realistic date for pre order availability?

I'm sure they're already available through some retailers. Most though won't put them up until a release date is announced. I'd also imagine that if you pre-order now you might not get the pre-order bonus Ross was talking about.
Timescale? No idea... Hopefully soon!
