True. And he did mention that the date could be off a week here and there. So it could still release very close to the initial interpreted date (before Oct also includes the last Friday of September).

September is not going to happen, they havent started their Marketing Campaign for it. Im guessing at least 4-5 weeks worth of Marketing is what they are planning.

And I didn't say September, right?

Close to the original date could be 1st or 2nd week of October. That'd still be just a fortnight off the original 'interpreted' date and would hold true to Ross' statement of the date being a week or so here and there.

Just a feeling i have that this game will be released in less than 2 months from now. It is almost here and it is EXCITING!!

Australia tours India this October too. So there's some cricket on.

Don't the Aussies watch all the other Australian tours to subcontinent/Caribbean/SA? Or is it just the Ashes and the few ICC tournaments? I mean from all that I've read here, ppl are claiming that the cricket won't be on till November and stuff like that.

Looks like only the subcontinent folks have cricket on the top of their minds all year round.

We watch it... I'm planning a trip in October ;)

September is a big month in Australian sport as it is finals of both the NRL and AFL. Once October rolls around, that's when we start turning our attention to cricket (with a little bit of horse racing and Bathurst to throw in for October/November-ish).

----------

That is for the most part... there are those that watch cricket all the time and sift through pages and pages and pages... and pages, of forums about cricket and cricket games :spy

It seems like they are waiting for Trickstar to reveal what new features have been added (if any) since their last official feature list, especially after the "and more.." comment. Also Ross is pretty sure that the statement was/is totally false but they do not want to take chances. Once there is some clarity on *new* AC 2013 features, they should launch their marketing campaign (to one up the official AC 2013 feature list) and the game will release within 3-4 weeks of that.

he is planning a trip to india to meet QA team and give them rounds of applause post release?? :D :D :thumbs

Yep, now that my blue boys are in the finals then September is HUGE!

Almost the day after the grand final it's 100% Cricket down here... and a few horse races in between.

I dont think it will make any difference if AC13 has any new features. Adding new features at this point in the DBC14 dev process would take longer than a couple of weeks. DBC14's features are set by now.

GTA and FIFA out September, BF4 and possibly AC13 out in November coupled with Australia touring India in October means it can surely only be an October release.

I think you misunderstood my point. I was talking from a marketing stand-point - the fact that it will help DBC14 better market their game if they know what additional features have been added to AC over the past month. They certainly are not adding any features to the game now.

Even from a Marketing standpoint, knowing extra AC13 features isnt really going to help them.

It helps massively...if AC13 have a 'new feature' that DBC14 has, then DBC14 can no longer market themselves as having a 'unique' feature
