Shakespeare walks into a pub and the landlord says " get out you're barred "

Ross has said 2013 so 2013 it is. Ross hasnt said 2014 so 2014 it isnt. This is becoming something like the stages of the grieving process waiting for this game though....denial, anger and ACCEPTANCE. Hopefully my first comment doesnt fall into the first category.

I've (almost) given up trying to guess when it'll come out. I've been hoping maybe some retail site knows something we don't and asking at the stores, seeing what they have on their system, etc. At the end of the day they all vary and all probably know nothing more than we do.

The best I got from EB today when I bought Rugby League Live 2: World Cup Edition was that it's on their system for 31st of December this year, which the manager said was odd, but to her credit she didn't really try to speculate, she just said something along the lines of that "games are so unpredictable, some are brought forward, some slide and some turn up exactly when they say they will, so who knows". To be fair to her she was right and it gave me some perspective. I want this game, but I have plenty more going on in my life right now and it'll show up when it does.

I also pre-ordered because, in case any New Zealanders are wondering, we can get the steel box as a EB Games pre-order. So that was great news.

Slightly more general observation/question but can be applied to this thread.

Do games need to have a lead-in hype before they're released. Does it matter if there is no real marketing prior to release other than some basic awareness material? ie. Pre-order boxes in EB etc.

Would it be better to put all your money into marketing material saying the game is 'out now'? After all, in reference to DB14 the majority of people are counting the release date are those here on PC. The general public just want to know that the game is ready to buy.

It's okay to have a countdown for established titles such as GTA5 etc, but for a brand new cricket game. People just want to know that they can buy it.

Just some thoughts...

I think it's unfair to judge the present situation Ross is facing with DBC14 release. There has to be some information that only he knows and we don't and that's something he obviously can't tell us here as it's a public forum, and there are other people (eg competitors) who would have access to the same information.

We should trust Ross in whatever he is doing as at the end of the day whatever he does will be for the good of DBC14. Already he must be under immense pressure himself, as this is a game which has been in development for 5 years and has his own money invested in it, and surely he is even more eager than anyone of us to release it as soon as he can.

If the game does release this year I can't wait for a side to side view of both these games. How to make a cricket game/game at all vs a huge turd.

After the exhilirating victory over Saffers, I dreamed of playing DBC 14 again. :facepalm Its fair to say the wait is getting very hard now.

I can be certain that AC13 is not being started again on my PC once DBC14 is out.

It's getting harder to start ashes everytime I play this crap. I am getting angrier each time and started to yell at the screen and say things like come on Ross release your game and well other things.

All I wanted was a good cricket game this year, now we have a new game and it's the single worse game I have ever played. For DBC14 who knows, I just hope ross has some news tomorrow good or bad for us.

Ross have a large investment to protect ....:yes

He would release the game , when he finds the best time for it for the above.

"The ONLY Cricket game worth buying this year!" :cheers

It used to be complete madness earlier, with these kind of posts spread all over the forum. Atleast the discussion stays here. Quarantined from the rest of the threads. All that matters is the first post, others are just pop corn stuff.

last friday of this 2013's November is tomorrow :D after that we have only 4 fridays and 24 working days left :D :D . ross has to inform something tomorrow or its 2014 :p
