Don Bradman Cricket 17 General Discussion

I wonder if Big Ant will add more generic grounds in addition to having stadium creator. As nice as the stadium creator feature is, I'm sure there's just so much more the devs can do making their own stadiums in house. I'd love to see maybe 15-20 more stadiums designed to look like grounds you'd see in all of the various cricket nations.

My guess is one purpose of the stadium creator is to ultimately allow us to make many more stadiums than they possibly could, freeing them to work on more important things like the AI, career mode etc.

Probably a long term thing though, as it probably took them much more time to create and maintain the stadium creator than to bash out 15 stadiums themselves.

Hello Guys,

Will it be possible to play 2 v 2 in Multiplayer ? So 4 friends on 4 consoles ?

Will overhead conditions be more important to the bowling in dbc 17? I could never really tell the difference between cloudy and clear skies in dbc 14 when it comes to swing.

That's because BA follows the scientific evidence, or should I say lack thereof, that there is no proven correlation between overcast skies and cricket ball swing ;)

In reality there may not be a proven correlation but from a video game perspective it would be a nice touch as you can see overcast sky in the game and know it will swing a bit more.

BOWLING MINI-GAME
A new bowling mini-game now available in training mode.

Scoring system as below:
10 points for hitting the yellow pitch marker
25 points for hitting the blue pitch marker
50 points for hitting the green pitch marker

1 points towards multiplier for hitting the ring of the vertical marker
3 points towards multiplier for hitting inside the ring of the vertical marker

The streak will reset if you miss both markers.

ACADEMY
Added Show Club Icon option for team uniforms

STADIUM CREATOR
Stability improvements to Stadium Creator

Hopefully this means the stadiums bugs will be fixed! Will be interested to see the bowling game.

Dear @BigAntStudios , kindly do add some more ground designs/patterns along with green shades (for grass) as all grounds are not MCG. It would be great addition and more realistic.
thanks in advance for considering such.

Yeah that would be a good start. Hoping its actually a bit more intricate than just that though. I mean that there is a few more variables in conditions that promote swing, like - pitch condition, ball condition, seam position, and then humidity (not talking about bowler skill at all, thats a completely different discussion.) Also hoping that there will be effective ways or tactics to manually enhance swing, in particular 'reverse swing'.

How can you or the game possibly know when the next "big ball" is going to happen? How can the game know a boundary or a wkt is going to fall the next delivery and stop simming? It can only happen if the whole match is already scripted and the game knows when a particular event occurs but my understanding is that's not how the game works.
It can work because you won't be simming past that ball you would be simming the ball first then showing it
