The Bushrangers are refusing to lye down and now through Slatter and Pilon they are clawing back from the brink. The projected total is now at 212.5 but with 10 overs still to play the pair could get the home team to something like 220-230 if they start to go after it and have a little bit of luck along the way. On the flip side if the Tigers can break this partnership they could have a very comfortable chase on their hands.

With Wright, Griffith and Hilfenhaus all bowled out and Doherty having bowled 7 Jamie Cox may be left red faced if Slatter and Pilon can pull off and escape that once had them looking like make 150. Still plenty to be done in these death overs for Victoria if they are to pull off a much needed win at home.

It?s up to Slatter and Pilon who is on debut and playing the supporting role to his younger teammate. There is plenty to lose for Victoria and not to much to gain at the moment but some steady progress can see them get back up to something near competitive. It will only take one wicket for Tasmania to turn it back in their favour but do they have the bowler to do it.

A dropped catch has helped my cause as the thing was an soda that my mum would have taken. None the less somtimes it just goes your way. Between overs I had the discussion with Nath to see what he thinks a good total is. In my opinion 220 is the minimum we need to get to have a chance. We also talked about not having a real swing until the last few overs otherwise we would run out of batsman.

Just two balls into the last 5 overs Nathan Pilon has gotten out. Kremerskothen deserves his accolades for producing a textbook out swinger to lull Pilon into the stroke and get the edge, which was taken care of behind the stumps.

It?s going to come down to a slog now as Gerard Denton has been castled in his first innings of the season for a single run. Denton got half way down the wicket before realizing he was know where near it and it got through his defence in the end to take middle stump.

It?s extremely annoying to see your teammates get out so easily when you have worked so hard and at the moment it?s looking like the tail is going to kill any chance we have. I am letting the next bloke in know that all he has to do is give men strike for as many of these last 18 balls as possible because im going after it no matter where it is bowled!

When Allan Wise arrived out in the middle I told him? We?ve got 18 balls and not enough on the board at the moment. Give me the strike and im having a go at everything. I?ve done to much hard work to miss out on the fun now.?

I was pumped and feeling aggressive. So aggressive infact that a series of boundaries was the result. With Kremerskothen pedestrian pace at best I found him the perfect target to go after in my favorite big hitting area, which is long on. To this point I hadn?t hit a boundary yet and now a flurry of them was getting the total towards something respectable. I looked up at the scoreboard to see 47 written next to my name but thought that I cant afford to poke a few and make sure of 50 I had to attack. The next ball was full outside off and I gave it the gun back down the ground hitting the fence on the 2nd bounce for a maiden one day half century in quick time to!

The final over sore a boundary a few runs in between and a narrowly avoided run out that all helped to get the total up to 234 which at leased is something to bowl to. At one stage it was looking we under 200 so to get there in the final overs is a big plus and also a half-century while the chips were down and none of my teammates wanted to hang around.

Tasmanian Tigers require 235 runs at 4.70 an over
