Ed Joyce last played for England in January of 2007. Does that mean that as long as he doesn't play for England in the next year that he will be eligable to play for Ireland again in January of 2011?

If the wait is that long then why was Dirk Nannes allowed to play for the Netherlands and Australia in the same year

Because Netherlands is an Associate nation and Australia is a full member. If it were the other way around, Nannes playing for Australia and THEN Netherlands, then yes, he would have to go through a qualifying period, but because he went from an Associate to a full team, he could play the next day, it doesn't matter.

With Ireland on the up, and England with quite a few international batsmen, perhaps he'd be better off with the leprechauns?
