New features for this season

Fitness & form points

A table similar to this shall be put up in due time where a player's availability, details, fitness and form points shall be noted. However, a player's batting and bowling skills shall remain hidden from view. The fitness points will obviously depend on a player's workload and luck. Some lose more points at a time, some lose fewer. Resting them at the right times will boost the fitness points back up and make them less likely to get injured out.

The fitness points are out of 100. Players with 50-100 are considered match fit. Those below 65 however risk lengthy injury breaks if they bowl, and those below 60 aren't allowed to do so at all.

Form points depend on a player's recentmost performances both in real life and in this tournament. A player's rating isn't entirely based on that, but the ones with a high number are more likely to maintain a level of consistency above the ones with a lower number.

Coinciding international matches and losing players to injury/national duty

Both local and overseas players will occasionally be called on to represent their country in international matches taking place at the same time as the tournament. They are also susceptible to injuries, either by too heavy a workload or sheer bad luck. In the case of a player being unavailable due to injury/national duty, teams will be allowed to call upon replacements in the form of unpicked players from the ELA player list. Once the original player returns from injury/national duty, the replacement must return to obscurity.

I hope I've made that bit clear. If you have any more questions regarding these, please do post them in the thread.

Will resting boost a player's performance as well?
