End of Cricket Games?

Firstly, why is this in feedback and suggestions? Its not about this site.

Secondly, there is no way on earth software developers are going to miss out on IPL or the next ashes, I'm quite surprised we don't have an IPL re-hash hitting the shelves at forty quid now.

It doesn't really go anywhere to be honest, because it's not related to any specific game. Besides, you're the one who quit as a mod, don't start bossing us around ;)!

Yes, we also know EA have dropped HB Studios (confirmed ages ago) and are on the look out for a new developer to produce their next cricket game, which I guess would almost certainly be released around next years Ashes series

Why don't ask PC members to develop the game for them;)

any news of any cricket game then.

I would think usy, when there is any decent news, it would be splashed all over the main page. Its unlikely to get hidden away if a thread you haven't seen so there isn't much to be gained by asking again now.

my bad, It just feels that you have to make a effort to keep up with the big world now days, kev.

This is the interview where it is mentioned that Red Mile are working on the next Cricket game by Codemasters.

Did Red Mile make BLIC 2007? If so, I'd prefer a different dev.

Just seen the interview and this bit hacks me off:

MF: Yes. We had a lot of input obviously from Codemasters because it's been a very successful franchise for them. But essentially we're building everything from scratch because we have to make the transition to next-gen with PS3 and 360 versions. Fortunately, we've got a decent budget and a decent time frame, which unfortunately we didn't have in the AFL days, where we were always pushed for time and budget and it was always a niche title for one market. The good thing about cricket is that it does very well in certain territories.

Once again, no mention of the PC as a next gen machine! Still, good to see they're chucking the whole broken engine away!
