England 'A' in Bangladesh

I like that, 3 good seamers a good spinner and a couple of decent bowlers who can nab wickets (Bopara and Yardy) who we can use if needed. Also got a lot of batting depth with Rashid at 8 and Smith 9.

Apparantley Broad is no mug either. I really do hope Smith performs well for England. He hasn't exactly set the world alight with Lancs but he's but in some great performances for us and he's also been consistent.

Yep I have heard nothing but good reports about him, but England haven't played 2 spinners in a test side for 12 years, so we will have to drop Monty!

Giles/Udal in Pakistan 2005/6? Monty/Blackwell and Monty/Udal in India 2006?

Good point, that is what I read, maybe it was just in Ashes series.

Well the touring party have arrived today in Dhaka (or are supposed to).

6 games (2 four day games, 1 three day game and 3 three day games).

Obviously due to his world cup inclusion the squad doesn't include Ravi Bopara, so 13 players are now in the squad (I am unaware of someone coming in for Ravi) so we don't want too many injuries. We might play both Davies and Prior as Bopara is in the Carribean.

My tip to shine:

Nick Compton if he doesn't play then Tom Smith.

Broad will take wickets for fun on this tour :p and he'll show he can bat too if he's needed. Rashid,Smith and Broad are the people who i'm looking out for

Compton hits 152 on day one. He has a big partnership (in excess of 150 iirc) with Prior who made 82.

It's on the ECB site but not on CricInfo.

Seems as though Will Jefferson played an attacking innings as well. Glad that Prior is in the runs; Surely he will play in the summer Tests?

Nixon seems to think he can play till he's 40 like Stewart,he may be fit enough but he's not good enough

ouyr bowling will be way too strong from now on with Broad and Rashid. Broad will be trying to show why he should have been selected

Important tour for some of our players who are just one step away from nearing international selection. Interesting how Will Jefferson will go, he had a blinding season a few years ago and was tipped for an England place but then dropped off. He may struggle being 6ft9 on the lowest pitches in the world though :p

Jefferson's stats are actually prety similar to Strauss.I'm most interested in Rashid and Broad (obviously)
