England in Australia

Seriously?

Yup, I just like watching the pure grit and determination of Collingwood as opposed to say, the exaggerated foot movement of Lara or the searing strokeplay of Sachin. I just feel more attritionally involved with Collingwood's innings, and I celebrate when he scores a hundred just as much as the fella himself. His batting grips me in if that's understandable; Makes me feel like i'm there.

Ah, so you prefer boring cricket. :D

I just appreciate Geordies more than Antiguans. ;)

But seriously, the way he digs in and never gets flustered is amazing. My favourite England player to watch and he's saved countless innings for us.

Well his technique is definitely unique and strange to watch to some point. When he gets out (as of recently) its usually to a good ball.

That's one of the best aspects of his game; You have to get him out because he won't throw his wicket away with a daft shot (with exception to Brisbane of course ;)).

(is this the correct forum/thread)?

As a man originally from Byker but now living in Rutland..Wor Kev Pieterson and that ginner Collingwood were awesome. Even Boyks is warming to Kev like.

(no Sky cricket for me...BBC2 highlights like).

HOWAY THE LADS!!!!!

Delete me now everton gadgie....(if you can).

enough bout yesterday and baggin Lee, i cant wait to bagg Harmy, anywayz while we wait what about Lehman wanting to coach England!

Should be a good first session, if Aus can be 1 down at lunch still then England will taste what we had to go through for 2 days :)

We really need to get Punter early. Got an ominous feeling Hayden will get a good knock today. :(

Lets get them 3 down at lunch if possible. Can't see spin playing a big part in this innings with Giles playing. Our hope is that Harmy will be in top form.

Hayden was looking really good last night, had no problems with Flintoff who is pretty much the danger man. I will be watching how he approaches this inns as his last inns he was very aggressive but that may have been to do with the position we were in but now it's completely different.

Yea everyone knows punter is usually a bad starter, is vounrable for a nick to slips when he does his massive stride foward or LBW early

He hasn't been too bad in his last 2 inns as he started off real well getting that front foot well forward and didn't look to be going too hard at the ball.

Yep, especially the LBW. He walks across his crease a lot early on.

For the English of us around here, what would you think would be a good day?

Yes but also vournable to the nick when he walks across his stumps

and im an aussie.... the perfect start would be is 1/120 at lunch, how many overs to lunch?
