England in Australia

WHy would you even consider the first one? The 5 wickets could have been tailenders anyway. It's likely that the bowler in your example is bowling so wide and wayward that the batsmen he's got out were slogging or chasing wide ones.

What do you mean THE wicket? He got five...and it is a blimmin' example. And it doesn't matter how he got them.

Not really, but going at 10 an over is a disgrace and not good enough for any form of cricket.

The 5 wickets could be all top order batsmen, 30 runs could have come from edges over the slips, 25 from misfields, meaning really he deserve 5/55 off 10. Rather decent. And maybe a few more wickets if those catches had been held, no?

See how pointless you arguement is too? It's an example. The point is, first 20 overs into the match, would you rather them 5/100+ or 0/10-25 ??

Well if he is going for 10 an over, then obviously the bowler is spraying it around, so the wickets might have just been lucky balls.

There are only 10 good balls in an innings. And that guy just bowled 5 of them.

Good second day for England a memorable day in Ashes history. A double for Colly without giving any chances (that I remember and no that isn't selective thinking!) 310 run partnerships should be cherished with all your heart, good little 9 overs too, we have to get Ricky within the next 3 hours of Cricket to win the game.

If we can nail Ponting early then it will send shudders throughout the Australian camp; I can just sense a return to form for Harmison; He just seems a little more up for it this time. If all our bowlers bowl as good as we know they can (yes, even Giles bowls well occasionally) then we can definitley bowl Australia out twice.

Keep it tight and don't let the batsman score easy runs, and the wickets will come.

Haha. I must say, that I have thought this before. Paul Collingwood is described as an "unfashionable" player, but he's the one scoring the runs.

And I always wondered why Cook is called stylish. What I've seen of him, his technique is rather ugly, especially to spin. His driving is the only part which is good to look at.

He bats in an ugly and gritty mannor, but he's still a damn good batsman. I prefer someone of Colly's technique to that or Lara's or Sachin's.

well what can i say than brilliant...England looked sheer class today infront of the best...it was if they had swap places for a day...lol...great double ton by Collingwood and would have liked to see Kevin get some more runs...he was unlucky though getting runout just after his highest score...and than freddie stuck a little cameo in the end and also took one wicket to wrap the day up...if the perform like thisin every test...aussies will be no problem at all...
