I know he didn't stand up to him at the Gabba, but for a keeper that isn't that good with the gloves it's a big ask to stand up to a pace bowler although Hoggard is only in the 120s atm.

I really rate Hussey as a batsman and Ponting is obviously the best batsmen in either team so this will be the crucial partnership for Aus.

Agreed the Ponting and Hussey partnership is the most important now and once again the 2 may have to come to the rescue. Beautiful bowling by Hoggard once again, drawing Martyn in with the shot and nicely taken as well by Bell.

but that nearly all didn't matter cuz Husser was nearly gone

Hussey is out rescue man in both forms of the games and it's so good having him at 5.
