England In India - October 2011/12

@Ollie I think it was on cricinfo too. I read that article last night. I would search it but I'm browsing on my phone

How can Broad check Laxman's bat? Heard he was in Indian dressing room

I don't want to blame MSD too much though. The problem is that the bowlers' shoulders droop too quickly, they give up far too soon. If they don't get a wicket for 20 overs or so, they start bowling rubbish, losing their patience. And once they're bleeding runs, MSD is forced to go defensive instead of persisting with attacking fields.

I do wish he'd not go defensive so soon though and instead try to get the bowler to bowl to some sort of plan. And he is, in general, fairly defensive, yes.

When you look at this Indian attack, it's not as pathetic as it's made out to be.
In the second innings of Lord's test, he got hit for a few boundaries and he set defensive fields. That was ridiculous.
Also, When bowlers are throwing rubbish, he can go up to them and cheer them up. I never saw him doing that, he must have a plan for such kind of situation like this. The captain should be inspiring and he's not. I think he has got a cricketing mind but when does he use that. I would blame Dhoni the most than any other player in the team, and his batting is useless. He's contributing absolutely nothing.

Even if the wickets didn't fall, Dhoni should have tried to block the run flow. But now the wickets are not falling and they have a RR above 4, same mistake from the Lords test.

Naser has been saying we will move on but he comes back to it every over....haha
I don't think any team would withdraw an appeal like that, what about Laxman not walking when he hit it, thats then against the spirit of the game.

And England on the verge of another turnaround performance. What the game needed was a fit Zaheer, and it would be fascinating to see what he could come up with.

Despite how it seems I have no interest in making myself look good to random British people I don't know. It was out, but it was bad sportsmanship. And MSD withdrew the appeal. That was brilliant sportsmanship. It's as simple as that; I fail to see two sides.

You see it as bad sportsmanship. I dont see it that way. Here Bell was clearly wrong. Morgan gestured to Bell asking him to stay within his crease (Morgan then turned around to see if the umpire called over, which Rauf didn't). Bell didn't care and kept on coming to the opposite end. After all that happened, Bell even bluffed about Rauf calling it over (one of the commentators also said this). Bell knew he made a mistake and he tried to save himself by lying.

You can absue him as much as you want with regard to batting. He will soon show something special. I have faith in him. Ian bell is out :cheers
