England In India - October 2011/12

What's funnier is how non Indian/England fans have just started watching and posting...

:p yap, their teams are been thrashed by everyone since quite a long now,
finally India is playing very poor. Atleast they can have something to cheer if they support England...

Bit of a half-half decision, wasn't it?

I think it could have gone either way, I was expecting it to be not out, but I think the right decision was made, the first frame where the bails had been broken the foot was on the line.

All of that said though, would Raina have lasted much longer? 0 from 29? Looked awful all series barring one innings.

Dravid being a lone warrior again, though if we had full DRS, I bet England will have reviewed that Swann LBW shout, which would have been overturned.

now now,

you all suck equally, Pak and Ban might suck a bit more, but given whats going on in their countries thats understandable.

Raina survived 30 deliveries? this is against the spirit of the game again,
England are too generous, they should play fair and get him out in the first 5 balls;)

How the hell was that Indian commentating questioning that catch attempt, Bell took that cleaner than any hospital in Mumbai.

----------

completely shameless pro India eh, even when they are not being paid millions for it. Objectivity won't kill you █████, try it sometime

Oh, the sweet irony, coming from the most fickle of cricket fans.

I hardly ever agree with him but Australia has lost their edge, Sri Lanka is poor, Pakistan is woeful, New Zealand is abysmal, Bangladesh is mediocre and West Indies is embroiled in troubles both on and off the field.

England and SA are fighting for first and India have an outside shot along with Australia who may be moving onto better things under Clarke and after this whole Argus review.

I just wouldn't word it as an excuse reeking of vulnerability like he has.

I really like Dravid but he's being a pain in the arse :p
Glad Swann has finally got a pitch that suits him after being questioned by a lot of the Indian fans in this thread.

How the hell do you expect to even compete at the test level with such a terrible attack?? And why the hell is our batting so tweaking undercooked??? How is it that Praveen tweaking Kumar has been our second best batsman this series?

I just don't get it. This was the biggest series by miles for us as a team and we haven't even put up a FIGHT. Granted there have been injuries, but NOT ONE person - barring Dravid - has stood up when it has mattered and done something for the team. NOT ONE!

Wonder how we are going to change things before Australia.

Hmm, to be fair on him, from the first angle (which was when he said it) it wasn't that clear. If he'd have said that when we saw it from the angle which was conclusive, then it would have been madder.

Though his commentary is crap!

Praveen Kumar too. And Ishant in patches (whenever his fitness has allowed him it seems). And MSD after 2 thrashings.

But yea. Abysmal the lot of them. Especially disappointed by Laxman, Sachin and Harbhajan.

MSD's innings have come way too late. His captaincy has been unimaginative, stale, and uninspiring. He hasn't done anything to rally his troops and squeeze some magic out of them like he has in the past. His wicketkeeping too, in the few sessions of play I have stomached to watch, has gone down the tube. He has been an out and out failure this series. I was expecting him to shake things up in the batting order a little bit too. When Dravid was forced to open I would have done something different and sent maybe Dhoni himself up at number 3. TRY something different, obviously the current methods aren't working! The results can't possibly be worse than what is happening now.

PK has shown heart. For that he has my respect. I hope guys like Raina can just be kicked to the curb for a while. Bring back Badri <3

England has played some amazing cricket. They have outclassed India in all departments of the game. But, especially in the last 2 tests I feel, India has beaten themselves. Negative from the get-go. It has been a long long time since I have seen the Indian team play SO badly. I don't think I have EVER seen it actually.

I think this is easily India's worst bowling attack ever. Maybe the worst Test bowling attack ever. I will take frickin' Vitori from Zimbabwe over some of these lads.

Raina, flat track bully, Starts jumping up and down against quality bowlers
Hardly managed to score any runs in South Africa but still gets selected,28 runs in his last 6 innings, still in the team,
RP Singh in the team, played his last FC game in January,
Harbhajan, 2 years now that he is struggling,
M Vijay playing international cricket since quite a long now, blocked a place of a deserving player who could have got a much needed exposure and could have played well in the first 2 tests and in place of Sehwag who is playing with an injured shoulder.

India would have definitely lost the series considering the level of cricket England is playing, but we wouldn't have been humiliated like this had the deserving players played the series.

And some Indian fans will not believe that there is regionalism and favouritism just because they are biased.

The series would have not been so humiliating if there was
Badri in place of Raina,
Rahane or Dinesh Karthik in place of Mukund, Mukund needs time before he is chosen,
Irfan as a number 7 batsmen and 5th bowler,it would have given other bowlers enough rest and they could have bowled a bit better,
Ashwin or Ojha in place of Harbhajan.

We would have still lost the series, but we wouldn't have faced such humiliation...
