England In India - October 2011/12

<rant>
This SKY commentry is driving me mad.

"Word from dressing room is Zaheer may bowl in the 2nd innings....if there is a second inings for England"...

Almost every 10 mins they got to talk about lack of tech for LBW. This technology is not even able to prove a catch Dravid took. DO they even notice the irony?
</rant>

Looks like a good batting wicket. Match moving towards draw I guess.

Obviously. How would the "LBW tech" and hawkeye be able to prove he'd caught it?

I don't see how you can say that this early. India could be all out for under two hundred for all we can tell thus far.

The existing technology itself does not seem to be fool proof and convincing enough. And they seem to be pushing for more technology. There is more irony since they were talking about this immediately after the Dravid catch was given not out.THey seemed pretty sure it was a catch.

Looks like more showers today.

You are tarring all technology with the same brush.

The "LBW" technology is pretty much foolproof. The "LBW" technology has been proven to increase the amount of correct decisions in the game and everyone apart from some selfish Indian batsmen appreciate the benefits of this technology.

As for the catching technology, it's clear that you just need to do away with this "foreshortening" lens (as David Gower refers to it) and find a camera which works..

I was actually referring to the fact you implied the technology used for LBWs couldn't prove he'd caught it or not...

..

That is in the assumption that ball tracking is correct. And they have some weird rules like it is predictable within 2.5m but not over it. If tracking technology was so accurate then I wonder why so many missiles actually miss target and why we cannot have a 100% correct missile defence technology:lol

I forgot Hawkeye was used by the RAF. Your point proven I accept defeat.

IT is defence technology. I am just curious that if it was indeed as perfect then military all over the world will be over it. Anyway appologies for moving off topic.

What might be a declarable score on this wicket?

England might declare if KP goes nuts and gets us over 400 in sharp time so we could have a go at them this evening, though its highly highly unlikely.

Wow... This is interesting... Lets see if Dhoni can get a wicket or two :p

----------

Jeez, he almost had KP.... :eek: Would have been interesting on DRS ;)

Come on that wicket should be given :p

Yeah just for the lolz... KP's reaction would be priceless :p
