England In India - October 2011/12

Tremlett's start has been wierd

2000th test - 100th test between England and India - 200 for KP. Sweet! :D

Worried about this pitch's nature though, Nasser literally claimed this pitch would get flatter and flatter as time progressed than crumble. Hope he's wrong.

And did anyone notice Swann's lbw decision? Looked dead plumb to my eyes, only to be given not out by Billy Bowden. The twisted tale of the BCCI and its love for the Hawk Eye? Hmmmm...

You quoted the wrong person.

:lol Exactly what I was going to post. I agree to Gavaskar that if you want as many overs today you need to have less discussion.

That was Kevin Pietersen's best innings at home since his knock at The Oval in 2005. Almost the perfect innings. A disciplined, watchful start; a sensible, substantial middle; a rapid, entertaining ending. He toyed with Sharma this evening and made he and Harbhajan look useless. He had a bit of luck along the way but he fully deserves all the praise which will come his way in tomorrow's papers. Brilliant innings.

bro - you cant win away from home against good teams. talk to me when you can. winning at home, in india especially when you play negative cricket...counts for naught. you cant win playing positive cricket - and england will thrash you here. unless you can tell me once where you have won away from home against a good team in the last 2 years? oh wait...you havent. lol. india suck man.

haha India sucks? If I remember correctly, wasn't it Australia who was crying for Shane Warne to come back from retirement? How the hell do you play negative cricket? Are you talking about Australia? You have no clue what you are saying probably because you are too much obsessed with yourself being fat and that might be the reason you keep looking at Zaheer's belly whenever he comes on to the screen :lol England will thrash IF they can which I doubt. Look at the records of the teams kid and then talk because they clearly say that India is way better team than England and Australia so to correct you, England and Australia sucks! There is no way you are winning this kid because the rankings prove India better than England and Australia unless you can control the rankings and get England or Australia at the top. And keep dreaming of England becoming number 1 :lol:lol:lol

I think the Mods here need to do something about this guy.

A good end to the day. Indians except 3 deliveries looked comfortable. The plan was obvious to have Mukund on strike as much as possible and Gambhir away from strike.

Tremlett has begun in weird manner and its going to be awesome day 3 tomorrow

Thank god the carnage is over. I was just begging for a declaration by the end of it. KP at his best. One of the better innings I've seen, for sure.

Thank god Mukund survived and took us home without any damage. I thought Mukund tried to play too many shots in that final over when he should have shut shop and should have tried to play defensive cricket. He was lucky to survive that LBW decision which was clipping the bails. But apart from that over, he looked compact, solid and good and so did Gambhir. Hope these two add a real good partnership tomorrow and take India forward. I wish and pray for a Sachin special tomorrow. Better get done with that 100th century soon because the longer it takes to come, the longer it is going to keep distracting us from our ultimate goal this series.

Day 2 wasn't as bad as I freared it to be. Praveen Kumar took the center stage and bowled really well for his 5fer. Though, I must say that Harbhajan and Ishant bowled really bad.

Pietersen was a treat to watch. I was amazed by the way he was toiling around with the Indian fast bowlers, especially Ishant.

The English bowling looked quite ordinary for the short time they bowled. Tremlett struggled with no balls and his line was wayward to begin with. Anderson, on the other hand, didn't swing the ball as much as he'd have liked.

With three days of play remaining, this game could go either way. From the looks of it, a draw is the most likely outcome.

yep your rankings are better. but these rankings are a load of wallop - as proved a decade ago. anyway good luck to you and india - i just dont think you have the players to beat england. we will see. its your bowlers - WC hangover maybe...but i wouldnt rank them in the top 6 outside of india. decent in home conditions, but crap away from home. but then, what's new with india?

i dont dream of england becoming number 1...i can tell you taht. i hate england. but they are the number 1 cause they have won where it counts. india have not...yet. but they wont unless they can find 2 new bowlers. what ive seen this test, id rate NZ to declare on 400. you wont see better bowling conditions. maybe hit the treadmill - drank a bit too much after winning that 50 over series at home.

hahahahahah, i was looking on pc and found you to dipsticks and you both talked crap. Now yes im a aus man but i can see how cricket is at the moment and i try to see the good and bad in all teams. First up is england, yes they won the ashes and did very well in aus and they do have a good side. They bat well and bowl well and field well also. They are a young team and a good team but nothing groundbreaking. Now for india, they bat so well and everyone knows that is there strong point. When they play in india they make a big first total and then clean up with there spiners later on. There bowling is there problem, they are a average bowling unit simple as that. Plus they are a old team, when there great batsmen go they will be in pain for sometime like the aus team, because its so hard to find 5 players that average over 50 for so long, india are gods of batting. Now for aus, they suck at the moment and being a aus man i hate that. I dont care which team is the best but for a all round team then i would say SA but they dont like pressure on them.
Now for the last great team thats the aus of 1998 to 2005, a team second to the west indians of the 1980s in my time. Still with india, eng and sa all being about the same level. I think it makes for great cricket when one team is not so far ahead of the rest of the teams. I just hope aus get back to a good team then im happy.:cheers
