England In India - October 2011/12

India`s real problem is Harbhajan Singh. With an attacking spinner like Mishra, we would have had a real chance of getting them out around 350 at least, and that is even without Zak.

With Zaheer, I would have still backed us to get them out for around 300 here. Our bowling will get better as the series progresses.

Well, the only reason I am bringing in the WC is because of the batting performence and we all know that the new tests players will come from the ODI squad once the seniors retire. Your points are rediculous as you are just saying that India is number one right now because of their seniors so what is wrong with that? England is good because of Strauss, Trott, and Cook. So? They are still the players of their teams. They are suppost to make their teams good and make them win. If you are just saying that India is nothing without their seniors then you have a point to Strauss, Trott, and Cook and this is because they are in good form now. Form comes and goes...so when they are out of form, England is crap? They will just crumble to the crap bowling of India. India looked unbeatable a year ago when Gambhir was in form of his life with 5 or 6 hundreds in a row. That didn't mean we were never gonna lose test series. The thing that makes India number 1 is their ability to come back from a dead game and get a win from it. It has been proven many times but what does teams like Australia and England have? Ability to lose a perfect won game.:D

it hasnt been proved many times...thats the thing. once or twice.

you are on top now - you may still be on top at the end of this series...but you wont win this series. not a chance. thats the point of this discussion. you are leaning on meaningless 50 over victories and several home victory wins against no one but a weak australian team...which i might add, almost beat you.

you will be like south africa around 10 years ago...number one in the world after being thrashed by the team that was apparently second best. i'll go on the record saying this. england i reckon are the best in the world and have the achievements to actually prove it in test cricket, which india do not. and i'll also say - unless khan loses 10kg by years end - this bowling attack can't even bowl out the aussies. it is very ordinary. but then again, australia wont be able to bowl out the indians. so it will be close. england came to australia with fit and firing bowlers. india's lineup looks weak...but its only 2 days in so i might eat my words. but since they havent had sustained success away from home, im happy to not eat them yet.

form comes and goes. you have some guys who never really lose form. but you ahve gues who have NEVER shown form out of 50 over cricket, or in test cricket away from home. i dont think even sachin has been in english conidtions against an attack which england now have.

anyway - nice chatting. going to bed. england have made a very difficult pitch look easy here. its still swinging a mile - and lords, even when flat, will hoop off the deck given the slope. 400 first innings here in these conditions is a winning total. and india, regardless of what you say, has never won a big series away from home after being thrashed int he first game. read - away from home. we'd all have 99 centuries playing in india ;)

Imshit Sharma proving it once again. KP back to his best. Get in.

This is amazing. That is all.

With Mishra they probably would have reached 400 before Lunch today, given his recent form.

it's going to be sort of ironic that khan, injured in his third spell on a truncated first day, will probably have more impact on this match than stuart broad.

Brilliant.

And we've declared, super. Hopefully we can take two back with use tonight and we'll be well in control.

Congrats KP. A Great innings for sure and 474 for 8 is a decent score. 30 minutes left and if India go without wicket it will be good day for both side.

Praveen was brilliant but Ishant disappointed badly.

You need to check cricinfo or something when you say we never won big series away from home. How the flick can you say England are the best when they are placed 3rd in rank? You have no clue why you are saying what you are. Again the same reasoning comes in from you "Rankings don't count", you don't say it but your points make it clear. we owned England and Australians when they toured us so that comes down to the same point. They can't win series away from home either. Now don't brag about Ashes win because that is the only thing they have won recently overseas which got them over confident. And you would have 99 centuries playing in India? :lol:lol:lol This is why you can't win series in India even after scoring 99 centuries???

bro - you cant win away from home against good teams. talk to me when you can. winning at home, in india especially when you play negative cricket...counts for naught. you cant win playing positive cricket - and england will thrash you here. unless you can tell me once where you have won away from home against a good team in the last 2 years? oh wait...you havent. lol. india suck man.
