England In India - October 2011/12

He [Broad] hasn't justified his selection

I totally agree. I would go further and say I still hope he's dropped. Anyone can have a good day.

Also the myth about Broad being told to bowl short and be "the enforcer" was dispelled by the selectors/ECB apparently, what they've said is they want Broad to bowl well and take wickets, if he needs to perform the "enforcer role" then he is good at it, but that isn't what he is told to do

Yeah but they would say that, wouldn't they? They ARE notorious for not taking responsibility for their mistakes, after all. That's what that sounds like - managerese for "we accept responsibility only for our successes".

Dhoni, for me, comes under the group of players that I wonder how they ever made it to play test cricket. But then even when I think that, he still does very well which baffles me. I mean he doesn't have the best batting technique, but he still makes runs.

Great captain though.

I was going to say before the day, what if this turned out like the famous 100th Test at Lords, and it looks like it might do!

I'm more surprised at how India are managing quick wickets without Zaheer than England collapsing with the bat tbh.
This test reminds me off the England NZL test match of 2008, where England trailed by 181 runs after the first innings, only to win it from there following a Monty Panesar special in the second innings. Was that the 100th test at Lord's you were talking about?

No not even close to it.

Wow, man, ball going through Trott's defence has been a very rare sight with the way he has been batting recently.
That was a beauty from Ishant, great work.
