England In India - October 2011/12

I'd be about ready to give bop-ra another chance. he's clearly putting in the effort, sometimes that extra mile has to be ran in the head.

but besides that, can we clone laxman and can all teams have one?

There's a big sound, that has to be out!

It's a clear nick. Hotspot is showing nothing, but the stump mic is giving a definitive sound and the bat is miles away from the pad.

Shocking. Disgraceful.

He even looked behind, an obvious sign the batsman has hit it.

Snicko confirming it.

I hate how they say "ooh, it was inconclusive as it showed nothing on Hotspot." That's why we use Hotspot AND an enhanced stump mic so we can hear the little edges. What do the think they sound was? Perhaps they thought VVS Laxman had turned in to the guy from Police Academy who can make any sound he wants?

It's stupid.

I am not sure what you saw there.

The Snicko didn't show anything as the ball went pass the bat. It rather suggested that the ball clipped the pads as it went through.

well, it was inconclusive enough that a very good umpire didn't think it was out too.

I'm not saying it wasn't out, cause I can barely watch this and what I am watching is with the sound down in work, but "shocking" is over-egging it a bit if both the umpire and the technology are showing it not out.

It wasn't a nick. Look at the two images of snicko, the sound came when the ball was past the bat. Your rage will not change that.

A nice inning from Laxman here. He has played superbly. Heard he hit 4 back to back boundaries? Against whom?

Excellent excellent 50 from VVS!!! He is playing possibly one of the most important innings in his career YET AGAIN!! Great batting yet again from Laxman and Dravid.

hahahahahaahahah.

I'd be incredibly surprised if Dravid even makes it to double figures, he looks so uncomfortable.

:spy :rolleyes

He is on 26 right now :p

These two are reaping the benefits of an excellent defense to the 15 overs they faced last night. Right now the clouds are coming back. Hope it doesnt deter India and keeps them going.

Holy damn!! I again jinx my team.:noway:facepalm

to say he deserved that is probbaly going too far after only 5 good deliveries but it was clear in that last over bresnan had sussed the pitch out and was getting the ball to talk.

Because the ball was between frames when it passed the bat. Also, not rage, just pointing out the obvious that.

1) There was a clear edging noise.
2) Snicko showed that edge.

If you don't think that was an edge, where did the noise come from? Ball and bat were miles away from pad and again there's the whole point that it sounded like an edge and not a pad "thud".

It was a nick. Period.
