England In India - October 2011/12

:lol

I just find it annoying, because I've not heard anyone explain the noise if it wasn't the edge. Or why Laxman looked behind, a classic sign that he's hit (and heard) it.

This isn't the first time Hotspot has been left wanting with the tiny edges.

Because the ball was between frames when it passed the bat. Also, not rage, just pointing out the obvious that.

1) There was a clear edging noise.
2) Snicko showed that edge.

If you don't think that was an edge, where did the noise come from? Ball and bat were miles away from pad and again there's the whole point that it sounded like an edge and not a pad "thud".

It was a nick. Period.

The same thing happened with Kevin last match when he was out caught behind to Dhoni :p. Happens and move. Period. :)

Interesting stat, Bresnan has never lost a game when he has played for England. He's won 7 of the 8 games he has played so far.

Thank you, Sky.

So the law of averages would predict that its about time he lost one. :p

I dunno but for me when I bat, sometimes it's hard to feel those faint nicks. So Laxman was there shaking his head saying no i didn't hit it, it's very likely that because the edge was so soft he didn't sense it. How big a nick does it need to be before the umpire has made an awful call? Any nick at all? Just nicks that meet a certain sound requirement? It's all moot without snicko anyway.

I think this Hawkeye-less DRS will just emphasise how hit and miss Hotspot can be.

The real value for Hotspot is seeing if a ball hit bat before pad. Without being able to review lbws, it's just an expensive special effect.

I actually think that the number of howlers overturned will not change much due to Hawk-eye not being around. The main thing people have a problem is are when there are inside edges in LBW calls, or snicks not being given. Hawk-eye is too often used for marginal calls.

Although I do think the pitch map should be there to see if the ball's pitched outside, or hit the batsman outside the line. That can be fairly conclusive.

Well you have to experience everything in life. So it's time for Bresnan to experience the joy of loosing? Yes.

Michael Vaughan is so so stupid. He said there will be cloudy sky in the morning. I can't see ████. It was sunny all throughout morning session.

There was some stats that Dravid has lost probably 1 or 2 test matches after scoring a century n his long career. India did lose the last one.

Tendu gone

fearsome tweak YOU BROAD

I miss VVS's sublime fifty, come back, see Sachin's in, going to get settled down to watch Sachin and Dravid and, hopefully, see than 100th century.

The Broad comes up.

fearsome tweak you Broad. fearsome tweak you.

Sachin has looked out of sorts so far in last 2 innings. Hope to see him score his trade mark straight drive pretty soon :)

Broad finds the wrong time to get his form. After being rubbish in the Sri Lanka series, is this the series he has to find back his form? DAMN!!:mad:p Irritating!

I thought Sachin looked good till he got out. He looked positive too.

What was with hotspot not picking up the edge, which was clearly an edge. Still, doesn't look like this is going to be Tendulkar's series. He looks a little out of sorts. Dravid is his usual self but if England can get a couple more wickets before tea, they are in with a real shout.

I'm waiting for one or two links for proof where Colin [barmyarmy] mentioned wax could get the better of Hot spot.

Aah, finally the Sky Sports scorecard is back in place replacing that dreaded Star cricket scorecard. And the TSS commentary panel follow them as well.

Michael Vaughan, its sooo cloudy out there ATM, definitely wickets are there to tumble. :rolleyes
