England tour of Pakistan 2024

Always great to see England losing :p

Anyways good win for Pakistan.

Atleast now they can set a template with their squad.

It feels like a huge Mandela effect , but wasn’t his name Nauman Ali? Wherever I go now it says Noman Ali, but I’m so sure that it was spelled Nauman until very recently for some reason
It still is on his shirt

It is quite typical with Islamic names. When Shakib first burst on to the scene, they all addressed him as Sakib/ Sakibul Hasan. I believe it is similar in the case of Salman Ali Agha as well.

Noman requested the change himself

Salman Ali Agha as well.
nahh, his name is Salman Ali Agha and everyone who says Agha Salman is saying it wrong. He confirmed this in an interview

The pitches have been woeful in Pakistan over the last few series. They need to be a tad sporting or dusty. Get a better curator!

Or better-add a curator to the selection committee. That's all that's remaining.

At what point do we start to talk about Ben Stokes the player?

He's obviously a massively important figure in this England team as its captain, but I can't really find a way to argue that he makes England's best six batters anymore, or that he particularly contributes with the ball anymore. I would argue that the England team did not look stronger for his return.

Of course, he is only 33 and most 33 year olds still have plenty left in them - but 106 Test matches is a huge amount of cricket, especially for an all-rounder and captain who trains as hard as Stokes does.

Insane stat, considering most people thought that Sajid and Noman wouldn’t play another Test at the start of the home season
