England tour of South Africa 09/10

Did said players inquire their nationality's through this, no. So your point?

EDIT: And if your post was genuinely inquisitive, then yes there is, but it's 4 years not 3 and nearly every country in the world I believe has the same ruling (expect the # of years differ)

No, Not really. Try harder next time though.

How stupid are you? It's clear that I meant the South African viewpoint, not you particularly. It's shown in the posts in this thread. What next? You going to claim that Earth is square or something? I feel embarrassed for you. :laugh

EDIT: It seems a bit stupid you blaming me for bringing up a comparison when somebody else did first and I was only responding. Perhaps try reading better next time?

Ya, because one mans statement, reflects all of the South Africans on this site...

Again, what the hell are you talking about? I never blamed you for anything. Learn to read, and also look at the poster, before pulling out 'facts' from your ass.

I feel embarrassed for you.

Coming from the guy, who took one person's view, as a whole nations.
Perhaps try reading better next time?

Pretty ironic, considering, you're the one whose coming up with stuff, that hasn't been said by me at all.

Losing 5-0 is way worse than losing 2-1, so don't even bring that into this.

So this isn't you telling me not to bring something into the discussion that I didn't in the first place? :facepalm

MUFC1987 added 0 Minutes and 45 Seconds later...

So you got involved in a discussion that you had no idea about? Makes sense.

Moving on, we're totally boned. This is a good batting wicket; we bowled well first time round but our first innings batting was nowhere near good enough.

That post had nothing to do with West Indies, like you said in your first post. This was about someone saying how we lost to Australia, and this was my response to it, which is a right one. Getting whitewashed, is obviously a much more humiliating defeat than a 2-1 defeat, even if it was at home. We beat England in England 2-1 as well, and so don't say that we lost a home series, because you guys lost a home series to us as well.

So you got involved in a discussion that you had no idea about? Makes sense.

See above statement to see why I got involved.

How can you not see that I only mentioned that home series because of someone else mentioning the WIndies to me? It's like me asking you for your opinion on Parnell V De Wet and then moaning when you start talking about Parnell.

On topic, this match depends on whether their Zimbabwean can get much spin out of the surface.

He barely stamped on it tbh. The ball was knocked back towards him after bowling a delivery and he just stopped it with his foot. He didn't just randomly stamp on the ball. I doubt stopping the ball with his foot made any difference to the shape of the ball, or how much it'd swing.

Nope. He did that at other times, on this occasion he stood on the ball. There's a difference between just stopping the ball with your foot and standing on the ball.

Great day for SA. Super innings by Smith. Now to get through the new ball and then push on to 450-500 by drinks after lunch and declare. Reakon Steyn and Morkel with their extra pace will get more out the wicket then england did.

England to pull a South Africa and chase down a record total! :happy

lol. He certainly did more than just stop the ball though. He applied downward pressure for a few secs. I don't think he should be punished too badly though, probably just some absent mindedness.

SA to declare 30 mins after lunch. If AB gets in there could be some fireworks.

England need to slow down their progress with the new ball and need some real application but the pitch is still good and it will be cooler tomorrow. In fact, there might just be a little cloud cover so there's something for the bowlers to look forward to.
